You can pick either the SportContact 6/7 or the ECS02 for summer tires, or if you want to go down budget the General G-Max RS is also available.
General truck tires are also part of this preferred pricing scheme for the SUV guys on RS. | That makes it useless for me this year
I guess Supercar3 it is.

Quick question, how much worse are Tracmax tires vs Westlake?
I smoked a pothole on Kensington yesterday and the tire that hit the pothole has a big bubble on the sidewall now, so I'll have to replace my whole set @ 28,000KMs.
I'm changing vehicles in about a year or less from now so I'm not looking to spend much on replacement tires or I would've been getting another set of CC2s.
The Tracmax Privilo all weathers come out to about $600ish with install, whereas the Westlakes are around $900 with install.

Oh weather and all season tires are the last thing I would go Chinese for, they just don’t have the expertise to make a tire do many many things in one rubber and design

Since you know you're only keeping it for a year or less... Get the cheapest ones you can get your hands on. Whoever you end up selling to, it wouldn't be a deal breaker because you chose a Chinese brand, but you do get to say you have 90% tread remaining.

I had some Chinese Farroad winter tires. They were fantastic! Only in the deep snow tho. Good at one thing is an accurate comment, cause everything else literally sucked hahahah.
Squeals in the dry, loose af in the rain (but very fun), fantastic when it actually did dump.

Apparently City of Burnaby says this falls under the ministry of transportation, so I will put in a claim, but I doubt I'll get reimbursed, at least not for the full set.
This car goes back to the dealership in a year so it doesn't make sense to grab the same CC2s I put on the last vehicle, would be a waste.
So I guess Tracmax = Westlake for the most part?

I hit an exposed manhole cover that didn't have a collar on it with my IS300 years ago, emailed the city and got bounced around, they finally asked me what I wanted and I said 2 new tires for the front so they match and they told me to go buy them and submit the receipt. Some of the e-mail chain I saw showed they went after the insurance of the paving company for it I think? Anyway I bought 2 new tires from the USA to match the rest of the car, swapped the rears to the front and put the new ones on the rears and they reimbursed me for my full receipt.
Of note I did go back to the scene after my tire deflated at Superstore parking lot (and 2 other people were there also with torn open tires from the same manhole) and took photos as well as measured the height of the manhole from the ground (they had ripped up all the pavement)... no easy feat on Alderbridge and Garden City in the middle of the friggin afternoon hahaha

Anyone finding what they are looking for on the PMC/Ebay 20% off? Code is winterready
If anyone is looking for Michelin CC2, Blackcircle has a 12% off promo, code is promocc2, this is probably the best that I've seen anywhere.

I ended up going with Blackcircles as I need to replace 1 Michelin CC, nail too close to sidewall, not fixable. They had best price, free shipping and 12% off. Still had to bend over a bit as it turned out to be $360 all in, delivered to my door.

I think for the folks who need both wheels and winter tires, I would do comparisons for all the major online Tire retailers
I was comparing my last year's purchase of both wheels and winter tires from PMC tires eBay to some of the current online retailers. The savings was roughly $115 bucks

Need advice on not exactly winter tire, but UHP all seasons.
The Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 is needing replacement, and I had in mind to just replace with the new PSAS4 but the prices have gone up by nearly $30 a tire since I last checked prices a few months ago.
The TireRack test on the Pirelli PZero AS3 seem to be pretty good.
Does anybody have personal experience or anecdotes between these two tires and which I should go with?
This is for my E82. I don't winter drive it when snow is on the ground but do drive it in the wet and when close to freezing when necessary (as a second car if the wife is out with the Rav4).

I haven't looked into Pirelli much but all things considered, if cost is the major factor, go with the cheapest set within the same category.
Me: I like my Michelins. I was talking to roastpuff offline and told him my misfortunes with Continental, despite how I do like their tires. I think I have bad feng shui with Continental (got a nail in every set I owned.) I will probably never be a Continental customer ever again (#tinfoilhat)

If your tire size and model is something that Costco carries, I'd honestly just get it done at Costco. It's worth noting that the price Costco quotes you already includes installation. Typically, you're looking at another $100+ to $180 for mounting and balancing for all 4 tires elsewhere.
Personally, I've always found the equivalent offerings from Continental to be a better bang-for-the-buck bargain compared to Michelin. In this case, it'd be the Conti ExtremeContact DWS 06+. Dynamic performance between the two are similar, although the Conti's tend to wear a bit faster than Michelin's. But they are also cheaper, so that offsets the faster wear rate.

When we were choosing between AS4 and DWS06+, we went to DWS because it was significantly cheaper, we were talking about $100 cheaper per tire for the size we wanted. For the family car, handling prowess really isn't that high on the charts and DWS rain performance is superb.
