so how easy is it to "apply" for the pre-paid card? and how do you deactivate the card afterwards so you don't incur the $2.50 fee?

Once you download the app, there is an "Add Pre-paid Mastercard" option within the app.
You're essentially just adding the already pre-loaded mastercard that is already in the app. You simply have to activate it.
So there is no need to apply for anything. Just download the app, open it, then "add the card".

Cause they're forcing you to use the app to make purchases which they indirectly would make money. They are also banking on you continuing to use the app and NFC technology.

This could have easily been successful for $25.
Not complaining, just that this marketing isn't making logical sense to me.

picked up a suretap sim card at a rogers store. they treat it as if youre simply replacing your sim card. download suretap from the play store, follow the prompts for a rogers prepaid mastercard and it downloads right to your phone. took about 12 hours or so, but i've received the 100 dollar credit, i cant seem to find a retailer that supports the technology though
im using a note 4 as well. even though it's not on the list of supported devies

 | Yeap, I received my $100 and already spent it. I used it at Mark's to buy some sweaters. Worked perfectly.
If you go to Superstore or Walmart, just buy a $100 gift card and tap. You might have to buy two $50 GC depending on their limit.
At Mark's my bill was $120 and they had to split the charges into two purchases, one for $100 and one for $20. Worked like a charm.

Thanks! just got my $100 took about 10 mins on and off to get my creditI picked up my sim card from a rogers retailer for $2? (originally they wanted $12 but i mentioned this promotion)
activated the sim via rogers website, downloaded the suretap app and registered.
I was told by rogers to wait for confirmation of registration before "downloading/adding" the credit card to the app. That may have been causing delays with the prepaid card.

Apparently you can use the credit towards your rogers bill as well.
