So stoked to see Grandpa Ford (aka. Grandpa Solo) back in action!!! But how come Chewy didn't age at all?

i'm watching the livestream right now and they said a)mark hamill is doing the voiceover (but we don't know who he's talking to), and b)wookies have a long lifespan. he was 200 years old when return of the jedi came out, and what we see now is supposed to be around 30 years later.

there is a lot of talk about the scene where luke is talking about his sister and someone is passing over a lightsaber. apparently that is the exact same lightsaber luke lost with his hand in the first combat he had with his dad/darth vader on the cloud city... what the?

Yup. The first time through I though it was the remains of a moisture farm.

God forbid one of the biggest action movies ever has a strong female lead :heckno:

StylinRed 04-17-2015 02:15 AM

the last time Disney had a guy as the protagonist was 1999 with Tarzan
if we're all about equality maybe it's time for a male protagonist by Disney :P

well i guess there was John Carter... back in 2012..

How about every other Marvel movie and every other Pixar movie (except Brave)? Also Big Hero 6, Wreck it Ralph, Monsters U, etc, etc

They make princess movies too, but it's not like they're forcing women into lead roles in every movie they make.

I thought Star Wars was supposed to be SciFi/Fantasy.

Making it all about action is a big part of what ruined I-III.

SkinnyPupp 04-17-2015 07:07 AM

I guess I didn't mean "action" in that way.. you know what I mean :) Big movie that everyone wants to see

Details of the plot for 2016's "Star Wars: Rogue One" were revealed during a panel at Star Wars Celebration fan festival Sunday in Anaheim, California.

Director Gareth Edwards ("Godzilla") showed an early teaser for the movie and revealed plot details for the "Star Wars" anthology film (the term Disney prefers instead of "spinoff"), starring Felicity Jones.

The movie will take place in between "Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" and "Episode IV: A New Hope" (known to many as the first "Star Wars" movie from 1977).
