I'm glad I didn't pay for it, and glad that I only had to waste my time in the ferry line and during the sailing to watch it.
At least I actually got through the whole thing without turning it off, which makes it better than pineapple express.

Watched it last night, HD version. Had a few good laughs, lots of stupid awkward parts and you can obviously see why NK didn't want it released it makes Kim look like a complete clown. All in all though it was a pretty typical Seth rogen comedy.

Wonder where the parts with the tank and missiles were filmed, it looks like either out in Chiliwack somewhere or like pit lake/pit river

Squamish.

How many of you would've watched this movie if it didn't have all that controversy to begin with?

Do North Koreans even have computers or DVD players to play the movie?

I would haev, I usually watch comedies with my wife. Rogen/Goldberg films are often very funny (but can be bad too)

I thought it was ok, had it's moments but I wouldn't go as far to say its unwatchable.

Yes they do have DVD players. Lots of stuff is smuggled into North Korea.

Looked like East Stave to me, up Sylvester Rd... some of the gravel pits around Little Iraq or thereabouts maybe.

Well, I thought it was stupid as hell... but the wife and I thoroughly laughed our bags off. Will probably watch it again with a couple friends who I know will appreciate it for what it is (one of whom quotes Team America: World Police on a regular basis).

SkinnyPupp 01-01-2015 07:55 PM

I think a Team America fan would hate this shitty movie more than anyone else...

Soundy 01-01-2015 08:08 PM

Oh hell no, his favorite part of TA:WP was Kim Jong Il's cheezy accent... he's gonna love Un getting the same send-up ;)

And where is Arrec Bardwin??

_cnh 01-03-2015 02:39 PM

The movie was alright, it had its parts that were funny but nothing to fight over.

exactly.. I think they got hacked and someone threatened to release it online so they made up a story/fuss about it and just beat them to it while still making a few bucks off it..
