took the gixxer up to hicks lake for a few days this week. wasnt expecting to ride her up there but a sudden thing came up with my brothers wife and she had to come up the next day, which meant we were down a vehicle. anyways. she was a trooper the whole time, and didn't pop a tire on ~10km of forest service road https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8856/1...6a7de40c_c.jpgUntitled by 320iCar, on Flickr https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8807/1...06498e01_c.jpgUntitled by 320iCar, on Flickr https://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7727/1...5a699278_c.jpgUntitled by 320iCar, on Flickr spoilered for other pictures of hicks lake Spoiler! |

lately, been feeling like ive made a mistake switching front ends. cant decide whats better http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q...psunlxtvqw.jpg http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q...psg1cwefrt.jpg http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q...pshgftezfb.jpg |
Lowered on H&R Sport springs and threw on a roof spoiler. #lookslikestock Cant believe im saying this but needs moar low. Hopefully they settle a tiny bit more. Shoutout to DriveHard for getting it done quickly even with some random issues that showed up  http://i.imgur.com/l9J6ZG6.jpg |
Please don't mind the potato pics (will post better pics in the weeks ahead). Just traded in, today, the: http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/...psfu7vnq1a.jpg For: http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/...ps674gesun.jpg http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/...pskqlqeedu.jpg http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/...pscdo9talt.jpg 2015 S3 Technik, Panther Black Crystal Effect (only for RS models, now available for the S3), 19'' wheels, LED headlights, Audi magnetic ride, red calipers The S3 is more agile, by far, than the RS5, and saves (by my estimation) at least 40% to 50% on fuel consumption, and you get a bigger tank (less trips to the gas station). The S3 is rated at 4.4secs for 0-60 (roadandtrack), so it is a little slower than the RS5's 3.9secs for 0-60 (Caranddriver). Mods will follow for: 1- RS Grille 2- Stage 1 for more HP (from 292hp to 350+) 3- Rear spoiler (maybe) 4- Front lip |
But RS5. :okay: |
I like the S3 much more! The RS5, while a great car, seems like such a lumbering giant (in the turns) compared to the nimble S3 even though I'm sure on paper its not. |
At the end of the day I just wish I could afford either. LOL. |

Yes, it's like $500 per month (daily driving 23 days a month) for the RS5 on gas, and that is on the normal comfort mode, not the gas guzzling dynamic mode which would make it double to $1,000 per month. |
Great pickup Marshall. I love the new S3. On that note I drove a friends SQ5 awhile back, what a fantastic car... I'm sure the S3 is an even bigger hoot to drive. |
