CAH gets boring after awhile, and this is coming from a person that owns it as well as the other expansion packs.
Play UNO

Had a lot of fun playing Agricola. We had someone who knew how to play the game. It's very stressful but that's what makes it fun. Trying to figure out what you need and seeing if anyone else is going to take it from you...
Resistance is by far one of the top game in my group, but you obviously need the right type of people to play it.
If you're into the deceptive type of games, I'm pretty sure you've played some or was recommended before, but my list would include Bang, Saboteur, Blood Bound, Coup, and Avalon. There's even expansions coming out for Resistance but I've never played them.
I'm thinking of picking up Twilight Struggle as I've heard it's really good but is rather long. I think it's currently the top rated board game on BoardGameGeek. Not sure if I can get the wife into it though lol.
Agricola and 7 Wonders play pretty well with 2 people. I sometimes don't mind playing Dominion with only 2 people.
Nice! Settlers is a really really fun game, also usually the gateway game to get your friends into other board games .
Just moved to Toronto and there are A LOT of boardgame stores and cafes over here, it's actually pretty awesome. There were barely any in SFO and usually just played boardgames with coworkers over there. Most of the stores also have spaces where there are boardgame nights to try new games or play the ones you have with others.
Picked up Coup and Hanabi from one of the stores. Probably going to check out one of the board game nights and see how it is.
My wife and I went to the Exploding Kittens beta test last month.... and the game is only.. kinda fun...? It's got a lot of broken/too good cards and I don't feel it's balanced well

recently, ive been going almost weekly with a few friends to "playerswanted" on victoria and 52, they got open game nights and we've played through quite a few games,
short games weve tried
coup
resistance (guess the traitors)
love letter
batman (love letter) (guess whos the villain)
longer games
sheriff
smash up
some ninja game where you match up combos
battle wizards
battle wizards is probably most fun, create spells to dmg other players from cards you draw
