What vehicles are you currently on the hunt/searching for?

So we have a craigslist good buys thread, and I know a large number of you guys are constantly checking up online classifieds for vehicles.

I'm curious to see what people were looking for in particular?
What vehicles are you looking to purchase in the near-future?

-

I'll start. I'm not searching for anything big budget or "special" really. I've been avidly searching on craigslist in the past 3 months looking for a decent '92 Honda Civic VX but currently to no avail. There was one posted up a few weeks ago for $2000 with <200k kms but it sold within hours of posting :okay:

The trim itself is pretty rare, as not many VXs were ever sold in the first place. I settled for a CRX I purchased last December which I am fairly happy about. I am starting to do research into the HF "High Fuel" trim levels for the CRX, so I'm currently scouting for one as well if the VX can't be found.

I like small, lightweight, tin-canned fuel efficient beaters :concentrate:
I drive slow anyways, so horsepower for me isn't a concern at the moment.

I would like a sportier car, such as a Genesis once the market value dips closer to $10k or perhaps an FRS once it hits $15k

TypeRNammer 02-02-2015 01:23 PM

I'm looking for a 2006-2007 Subaru Forester 2.5XT premium trim, either in world rally blue or dark grey metallic.

If anyone has a lead let me know!

Bender Unit 02-02-2015 01:27 PM

Iooking to jump on P-car bandwagon :troll:
997T manual in particular, f--k PDK.
missed couple of deals last summer.

radioman 02-02-2015 01:36 PM

Cayman S

987/987.2

Manual with preferably black/grey interior and a dark grey/blue exterior.

This market doesn't seem to exist.

nsx042003 02-02-2015 01:42 PM

I'm always searching for these:
"S2000, Type S, Type R, Evo, STI, NSX, GTR, Rx8/Rx7, mazdaspeed, M3, G35.."

Pretty much anything, almost like browsing the used car lot on gran turismo, I search what comes to mind.

Tone Loc 02-02-2015 01:45 PM

96-01 Toyota 4Runner Limited with Auto Trans. Hard to find in good condition, and the good ones are ridiculously priced ($8500+)...

PK-EK 02-02-2015 01:49 PM

Would you be interested in a 2010 Forester XT Limited?

I'm looking to trade that for a truck, because I live in PG now and the snowbanks here are getting massive. Plus, can't stick a dead deer in the back of my Forester... :concentrate:

I'm looking at F-150's and Dodge Ram 1500's because I want a truck. This Forester sometimes isn't tall enough, nor does it have a bed that you can hose out.

hi-revs 02-02-2015 01:50 PM

07+ Mazda 3 hatchback
less than 100k
less than $5k. lol

sdubfid 02-02-2015 02:38 PM

02-04 z06 and 99-02 millennium silver 4Runner are top on my list but there are dozens of things on my list if the deal is right.

LP700-4 02-02-2015 02:54 PM

"E46 M3" "M3" "M3 manual" "M3 6 speed" "M3 sedan" "M3 coupe" - rinse and repeat on the daily

Absolutely nothing yet except for one a couple months ago which i regret to this day. 06 M3 Coupe with 6MT and competition pack only 65k kms for 24k. Should've went and put a deposit right away.

fliptuner 02-02-2015 02:54 PM

Volvo 240 or 740 Turbo wagon, 5spd, not red, not beat.
Hilux, 4dr, diesel, 5spd.

You won't find one unless it's rebuilt, needs a lot of work or 4 years from now. lol

white rocket 02-02-2015 03:00 PM

These are my main searches but I'm down for a lot of different stuff. I also search North America wide on CL and dip into the EU market for a certain ITR I'm searching for. Although the current exchange rate is fucking balls so I'm mostly window shopping nowadays waiting for our dollar to bounce back.

'97-'01 Integra Type R
'84-'87 Buick Grand National
'07-'09 997 Turbo (manual)
'02-'05 NA2 NSX

westopher 02-02-2015 03:48 PM

e30 m3
Any 911 from 73-2004 preferably a 964 or 911sc though.
I'm not finding myself willing to spend what the inflated market is right now though. If a bargain popped up I'd buy, but there are so many shitboxes that people are snatching up for lots more than they are worth for fear of the market passing them by with the upturn. On the opposite end of the spectrum, there are some great examples fetching collector prices, but I just don't have the money for that. I want something decent I can enjoy. I'm having a hard time being rational enough to keep my cash in my bank account, but holding on.

Out of my budget unfortunately :(

white rocket 02-02-2015 04:00 PM

I probably should have included the E30 M3 but the way their going it's unlikely that I'd pull the trigger at this point. $33k on Rennlist? C'mon man! fuck.

bomiheko 02-02-2015 04:01 PM

I currently search for E92 M3, C63, S5 and any other car under $40k.

I saw that one. Its got a fucking set of asa wheels on it. ASFUCKINGA ON A FUCKING 33K e30. FUCK.
I can't justify paying almost triple what my e36 is worth when the e36 is a better car in every imaginable way other than looks and the rarity/history.
edit: just saw another diamondschwarz e30 m3 on there with BBS RK's and lower kms for 33k. Looks much better than the red one. Still, its not a perfect looking car, nor can I process the thought of it being worth 33k (so basically 45k by the time it gets in my driveway)

wow didn't realize the DC5R's will soon be legal to bring over...can't wait to see the updated 04-05 ones.
will be nice because they wont be so theft prone like the older hondas

Verdasco 02-02-2015 04:12 PM

bmw i8 or ford 2017 GT. probably the i8

Presto 02-02-2015 04:27 PM

Looking for a pristine 86-89 Dodge Aries or Plymouth K-Car. No Lie. I love the front bench seating. It's the first car I had, and I drove it for years before I killed the engine by running out of oil. Don't try get air off that bump in a fully loaded vehicle! Otherwise, you'll bottom-out and rip out the oil drain plug.

Nabatron 02-02-2015 04:39 PM

going to be trading in my rx8 r3 for cx3 since I need something a little bigger and want to stay in the mazda family

hud 91gt 02-02-2015 04:40 PM

A diesel hot rod truck that would be suitable as a DD. Once day it might show up.

My vehicle specific searches become few and far between. That must mean I am pretty satisfied with my current garage. Parts searches have gone through the roof though!

If an E-type popped up for a good value in the area i'd have to seriously reconsider my vehicles.n
