Does your car turn heads?

My stock one doesn't but my modded one does, only to specific car enthusiasts

What about yours?

zilley 02-09-2015 08:12 AM

yeup, saw a bitch snapped her neck when she saw the driver in my car.

CCA-Dave 02-09-2015 08:12 AM

The rally bug definitely turns heads...but sometimes annoyingly. Any beetle seems to cause people over a certain age to turn their head, but the rally beetle reaction is a mix between people who think it's just a stickered-up vw, "herbie" or a true reaction of "what the hell is that?"

underscore 02-09-2015 08:26 AM

The GTFour RC turns a few, but since I know hardly anybody has a clue what it is I know some of them just think it's a loud Celica with a stupid hood

EndLeSS8 02-09-2015 08:32 AM

Current car - heck no, super generic looking, people think it's a Civic or a Corolla

Previous cars NSX and slammed S14 240SX - yes

sdubfid 02-09-2015 08:46 AM

Turns heads only because the sound of a volkswagen diesel in a suzuki. So many people ask "is that a diesel?" It should be pretty damn obvious it's diesel.

Zordon 02-09-2015 09:07 AM

Yes because my cube is lowered and I'm riding on gangster chrome 18s (came with the car).

PandaDog 02-09-2015 09:39 AM

My CRX? Nope, looks too subtle at the moment

My Del Sol? Hell yeah, it's loud. Broke more necks with fake rust and stickers all over the rear end

When the top is down people all looked

But they might have been thinking, "who's this retard top down in Feb?"

Akinari 02-09-2015 10:09 AM

Definitely turns heads from people who see and know what wheels I have on my car :lawl:

I'm with you. we mod our cars to enjoy, not to impress others. but it's ok, as ppl who buy cars and mod them for that reason quickly realize they don't have their heart in it, and get out of the game.

to answer the OP: sometimes. usually enthusiasts will pay attention to my car, otherwise normal ppl don't take a second look.

westopher 02-09-2015 10:38 AM

I don't agree that people ONLY mod cars for themselves. As social beings we will strive for acceptance from others in everything we do. Its the reason people wear nice clothes, get hair cuts, work out, take photos of themselves, post on social media, etc. If we didn't we wouldn't be posting here. I love it when people compliment my car and want to shoot the shit about it. Ultimately, I do it for myself, but if everyone thought it looked like shit I'd very likely be reconsidering what I was doing with it.
To answer the original question, its a very specific person that is interested my car. Those that are interested however are usually very interested.

People's reaction:

For those who don't get it: @ 2:50

The Holden? I think so. It's so obviously modded but I don't look at people looking at me (unless it's out of the corner of my eye). But I do take some satisfaction in knowing that you'll more likely see an Aventador than you will a G8.

Also it depends on what part of town I'm in. Out in the valley, a lot of people will look. Over here, it just depends.

The Buick? Yeah people stare because they just don't expect what's making that whiny sound :victory:

E-SPEC 02-09-2015 11:28 AM

This is all shit talk, until i see pics back it up.

boostedcivic 02-09-2015 11:34 AM

Yup when people see that Intercooler i usually get a oh shit and a double take

E-SPEC 02-09-2015 11:35 AM

Myself i have nothing special until my new purchase in a few months.

kunoman1 02-09-2015 12:08 PM

I specifically look for beetles so I can punch the guy next to me and call out punch buggy no punch backs!

Inaii 02-09-2015 12:25 PM

Only if they're kids under 10 or other rotards. The kids REALLY like the flip ups for some reason... 3-5yo boys will usually stop dead in their tracks and watch the car go by. It's really cute :lol

Alby 02-09-2015 01:23 PM

my britax stroller whip definitely turns heads. it comes with 3 cup holders and seats 2 kids. they see not one kid on top but another one on the bottom. they always say the same thing, this would be useful back in my days when i had kids.

Mr.Stubbz 02-09-2015 01:44 PM

my car cant turn heads because my car doesn't move :tears::QQ:

westopher 02-09-2015 01:45 PM

Maybe if they are walking past your car?
