for those who have the edge, is it worth the cost? can't seem to make up my mind on which version to get

been to the store and looked at both. edge looks damn good, but i'm worried about holding it for longer period of time and it falling out of my hands since there's less to hold onto for the sides

coming from a q10, so regardless of what version i get, it'll be a big improvement

I couldn't justify it. More expensive and in my hands less ergonomic. Bought the normal S6 today and I don't think I'll be regretting that choice anytime soon.

went from note 4, my camera messed up so I got an exchange for s6 edge. (YES the bestbuy/futureshop exchange plan works).

I had to pay 100 extra for the edge. Used it for a day and hate it. The screen is beautiful. Its fast and gaming on it is very nice. Well after loading my usually social media apps and work emails BOOM. started kind of lagging.

VERY slippery in hands, and I found that I pulled the phone out of my pocket backwards 90% of the time because of the design. The edge got gimmicky really fast because didnt really benefit anything out of it.

All of that I can deal with, however the battery life SUCKS! Big time!! I turned off all the features that drain battery and still fucked. I would play games while I eat and lose like 20% for 30 minutes of gaming.

had to constantly charge the phone all day even regular email and browsing. FUUUUUUUUU

love my phone but i feel like the battery runs out way too fast... or is it because i use my phone a lot? idk.. lol

id start working at 10 and it would die by the time its 4

i only use it for whatsapp, ig and fb anyways .. no games

My battery drains like crazy too, ive turned off heptic feed back, vibration from notifications and im apways on power saving mode. Even if im working and use the phone on mt breaks (2x10 mins and 1 30 mins) the phone goes to 50-60% attery.

On top of that, the phone lags like crazy due to the fucking ram allocation issue!! Honestly, its a great camera but that is the ONLY thing going for it right now compared to my oneplus one.

battery life is the only gripe i have with my s6. everything else has been great with the phone. using the phone without a case for the first little while was a no go for me because of how slippery the dang thing is. i quickly remedied that with a skin from dbrand.com and now i love using it naked!

The battery life from what I've read on XDA and other forums is a hit or miss. My buddies S6 has very average battery life while mine is excellent. I usually average about 4.5 hours screen on time on a full charge.

well you must be doing something right then.. i cant get more than 3hrs screen on time from a full charge. i also dont use my phone to play games either. just texting, web surfing, instagram, snap chat and music.

i have the s6 edge, my co worker has the s6. both had terrible battery life, after doing some research online after doing the latest update the phone needs a full wipe(booting into android recovery and format) it has fixed my problem from needing a charger at 4-5pm to having my phone last until i get home around 10-11pm. so huge difference, i recommend backing up all your info and doing a full wipe if you have shitty battery life

I have the same usage patterns as you it seems and I also don't play games either. I have also found that the battery drains a lot in places of bad cell reception. It seems the phone is always searching for a signal or something and that kills the battery.

anyone compare this to samsung s5?? how does it do? coming from a s5 owner

Just got the S6 a week ago and I've found it to be very slippery as well. Going to have to get a case for this thing.

Liking it so far other than an issue specifically with Whatsapp. It seems to stop sending notifications once the system closes out the app. (i.e. I don't close it but runs in the background and eventually the process gets terminated when it needs more memory) Annoying as fuck and I need to always go in and run Whatsapp every few hours otherwise I don't get my messages.

Saying that the S6 is slippery is a major understatement. Cases are a must for this phone. I'm guessing they coated it with the same substance Clark Griswold puts on his sled in christmas vacation.

Man, my phones battery life has gone to shit now, worse than when I first started using the phone. Another thing that has me annoyed is how the phone lags when I'm switching apps and loading the main menu.... Similar issues with my friend that has an S6 as well. Anyone else experiencing lag?

Haven't really experienced lag but battery life is pretty shitty. Can't really last a full day unless I'm on Power Saving mode all day.

Its because of the stupid memory leak issue! Even if you close all apps, check your app manag3r and look at whats running, apps will still be running in the background after you close them

^ true. I only managed to get 2hr30mins screen on time yesterday from a full charge. This is just ridiculous. I'm also experiencing lag now too. Good ol Samsung eh?
