Been experiencing the above mentioned problem with text and calls intermittently for the past 2 weeks. I'm not sure what it is, was hoping this would resolve itself. Glad I'm not alone.

I found an unused Diztronic matte black TPU case for the Galaxy S6 Edge that I mistakenly ordered when I had my S6. I have no use for it so I'm giving it away, shoot me a PM if interested.

holy crap.. am i the only one with a problematic camera on the S6?

first time, rear cam sensor was dirty... went to service center and it was replaced.
second time, rear cam wasnt focusing unless i shook it.. fixed under warranty.. apparently very very common issue.
now.. another rear cam dirty sensor issue..

wtf. what am i doing wrong? :s

Mr.HappySilp 12-07-2015 10:38 AM

^^ bad luck?

trollguy 12-07-2015 11:43 AM

i'm probably just trying to justify dumping my S6 for another phone lol.. butyeah.. bad luck i think

I had the original camera straight up die on me about a month after I got my phone. Service Centre replaced had what looked to be a big dirt speck but now you mention it, it could have been a dirty sensor since they replaced the camera module again. Been working fine since then. Maybe bad QC on Samsung's end?

trollguy 12-07-2015 02:41 PM

likely bad QC... 3x now.

yeah the first time was maybe a little less than a month after i got the phone, i started noticing the speck..

and i hate going to the service center. they always wipe the phone. i suppose to check if it's rooted or not.. but so annoying.

fuck by reading all your guys problems with the s6 I'm hoping the s7 wont have these but wont hold my breath! Looking to get a new phone and leave apple...want to try android again and see how touchwiz is..had nexus 5 was ok but shit camera...

trollguy 12-23-2015 09:00 AM

i sold my S6.. I have a 5X now. couldnt be happier. sure it may hiccup here and there compared to the S6 but it's overall a better experience for me.

if you've had any time with plain android, you'll HATE touchpiss

Nabatron 12-23-2015 09:10 AM

^lol yeah used stock android before on my nexus 5 didnt mind it found it similar to ios but with widgets haha...i heard with touchwiz they toned it down alot and i like the split screen feature they have on there...android should make that stock on their next 6.1 update..plus theres launchers and themes that can run over top so not too worried about that...

just go with one of the newer nexus phones. they both use the same camera so theres no disappointments. i ditched my galaxy s6 for the nexus 6p. i honestly could not be happier. i had so much battery anxiety with the s6 that i just couldnt take it anymore. lol

Touchwiz isn't too bad these days actually. I use both the Note 5 and the Nexus 6P on a daily basis.

Is the battery that day? Or maybe there are apps running preventing the phone to go to deep sleep?

The latest news about the upcoming Galaxy S7:

Latest Samsung Galaxy S7 leak hints at 5.7-inch version with 12MP camera | Pocketnow

Remember when the points at issue leading up to a major Samsung Galaxy product announcement concerned things like build materials, screen resolution, and RAM count? Those were the days. Now, it’s all about how many flagship models are coming, which of them might be curved, and exactly what do they measure in diagonal.

Of the countless theories floating around the interwebs lately, possibly the most plausible calls for 5.2 and 5.5 or 5.7-inch variants with both flat and dual-edge panels. To avoid sales cannibalization and market flooding, Samsung may trim down the four GS7 flavors to just two, one small and non-curved, and the other largely similar to the S6 Edge Plus.

This Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge or S7 Edge+ version probably showed its face to a Reddit leaker in early prototype form, with its hardware info screen pictured and, frankly, looking a little on the underwhelming side.

The 5.7-inch display sports the same Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) resolution as its predecessors, but that’s not really the disappointing part, since pretty much all smartphone OEMs besides Sony seem to agree 4K is overkill.

The problems are the 12 and 5MP cameras, the former of which is bizarrely downgraded from the Galaxy S6, and the latter inferior on paper to the 8 megapixel selfie shooter on the A9 (2016). Of course, a higher MP tally doesn’t always make for better photography, so let’s wait and see exactly what upgrades Sammy has in store.

A Snapdragon 820 processor is a near-guarantee as an Exynos 8890 alternate, and so are 4 gigs of RAM, despite technically there being a possibility for a jump to 6GB. Like 4K resolution though, it’s deemed an unnecessary gimmick.
