You do realize the majority of full backs are small/undersized? He also played in the EPL for a few years for the Spurs. He left Europe because he got too old.

Rivero seems like a good kid. If he plays his cards right, he should be transferred to a decent club in Europe without the bad blood that resulted from Camilo's defection.

Looks like the Techera deal is done, based on word from his parent club in Uruguay.

Such a good game so far.
would've been a good game to go to

Tapioca 04-05-2015 10:51 AM

I was at the game last night. Great atmosphere and of course, it helped that the 'Caps had the ball a lot more than the last game.

There's not much to be said other than the fact that the Galaxy looked very ordinary. I don't know if Gerrard will give them the boost they need, but they just don't have the same magic when Landon Donovan was around. Looks like there's a power shift going on the league. Hopefully the 'Caps can keep it going - there could be an opportunity to do some real damage this year.

carisear 04-05-2015 03:22 PM

I only caught about 35 mins of the game, but man we looked like a completely different team from the other games we played. complete domination!

Nabatron 04-05-2015 03:46 PM

Yeah LA looked like garbage...could not think of a time where they actually looked dangerous during the match...to me all they have is keane on the team and he didnt do much at all...

6o4__boi 04-07-2015 07:48 PM

holy shit
impact on the verge of making history and its not fucking televised
goddamn it TSN get your shit together

this run has been epic

6o4__boi 04-07-2015 07:59 PM

History has been made!
Congratulations Impact!

What a game...hope the Caps are watching this

Two things wrong with that Columbus goal. One, Mattocks can't do anything else but run, so his crossing is shit, and he's too lazy to come back to defend, and two, WHERE THE FUCK WAS ADEKUGBE?! Kamara was WIDE OPEN on the wing!

6o4__boi 04-08-2015 07:14 PM

It's gotta be the worst start defensively so far this year
Rivero to the rescue!

6o4__boi 04-08-2015 07:31 PM

Cash Manneh...he definitely gave Mattocks that boost he was missing in the first half.

jaemc 04-08-2015 10:04 PM

Wow. Amazing game tonight. Although the result did not show. Whitecaps performance was amazing. Total domination with pressure and attack.

Such an entertaining match!

CorneringArtist 04-08-2015 10:22 PM

Mattocks had his goal and some flashes of brilliance, but then again, he's known for those spaghetti legs of his most of the time.

Tapioca 04-09-2015 09:08 AM

Mattocks had a good game, but wasted several chances. He has speed, but he doesn't have a footballing mind. Rivero is pure class - probably a better all-around striker than Camilo ever was (bold statement, I know).

Tough way to lose 2 points, but Columbus is a very decent team. I think the Caps will be lucky to get a draw in San Jose.

6o4__boi 04-09-2015 09:40 AM

we were lucky not to be down by a couple in the first half...it was a fire drill in the back end.
Ousted also bailed em out once but he also gave away that second goal.
But yeah, they shouldve capitalized on all the set pieces in the second half...Mattocks had so many chances to finish and he just couldn't...Morales was average at best.

Who knows about SJ...just need to tighten up defensively and put away those chances
:okay: can't watch cus its on tsn2 guess i'll have to stream

Portland supporters questioned why we signed him because he's known for boneheaded decisions like that pass. I guess we get what we pay for sometimes.

6o4__boi 04-10-2015 08:52 AM

are you talking about Ousted?

mistakes will happen...so far this season he's bailed em out more than he's fucked em so it's ok

too bad Techera isn't gonna be in this Sat. I wonder where he's gonna slot in. I'm interested to see how he fits in

Ousted's been a rock. It's Kah that Timbers fans questioned. He's a glue guy in the locker room, but can be devastatingly awful on the pitch.

6o4__boi 04-10-2015 11:14 AM

yeah i can see that, couple times i screamed at the tv it was pah-related lol
hopefully diego is good to go this sat

Dont get me wrong I love Rivero but the guy needs to stop going around people, he cant do it very well and play the team game, hes got 5 goals right now he could have even more thats the scary part about him, hes that good.

I question this statement.

His movement opens up space for others, and because he opens up those channels, he's finding himself in spots to score. He's playing the team game well, again with his movement and beating defenders one on one, and his hold up play has been brilliant because if he doesn't win the dribble, he's at least holding up play. We haven't had a striker this good since Kenny Miller (and he's pedestrian by comparison).

Team game case in point: the game against Columbus. He held off a defender with a forearm for at least 3 seconds to open up space for mezquida they switched off, mezquida shot it and rivero was there for the goal. He's not selfish by any means and doesn't waste shots like manneh (who is getting better but infuriates me with some of the shots he takes)

He's brilliant, bar none. We'll see if he can continue that production.

CorneringArtist 04-11-2015 08:52 PM

Switch to the long ball game like we tried against Toronto, lose the game...

6o4__boi 04-13-2015 09:38 AM

missed this game
looked like it was yellow parade though...what was up with that. I rmbr looking at the score app and seeing all these yellow cards
Caps now have 9 more yellows than anyone else in MLS

And Morales won't be playing the next game because of that stupid red.

Soundy 04-25-2015 07:53 PM

Soooo how about them 'Caps?

RacingMetro92 04-25-2015 08:01 PM

Top of the league, has the leading goal scorer...

And we just got scored on. Yup gonna be a good year watching this team.
