And congrats to GS8 . It sounds like you feel like you made the right decision for you and that's what counts. Being car debt free and searching for a project is much better than battling emotions with trying to unload a car.

Since you already sold it, I won't bother posting what I had thought up telling you not to sell it.

As a side note though I suck at letting things go and the only car I've ever "sold" was to a junkyard because my parents forced me to, so my "advice" should probably have been ignored anyways.

I sold my E30 M3 about 8 years ago thinking I could eventually buy another one. Paid off student loans with the sale. At the rate of appreciation for a mint example of that car, I don't think I would be able to afford another one any time soon. May as well buy a E92 M3. They cost about the same now.
