Maybe he got the FRS, wheels and a brand new paint job from panhandling? Lol.

Even though OP has money, sometimes people just need a hand to get by those unfortunate times.

$700 is nothing and he didn't deserve to be flamed on for that.

While I think people went too far making it personal, posting personal information and pictures making fun of the guy, the woe is me sob story attitude he had for something like this happening to him was embarrassing, and his actions were well valid for public scorn. Remember the couple that had the baby they "didn't know" about on the plane, then started a go fund me for 50k when they got back from their fucking japan vacation!? They were subject to the same scrutiny. People need to take some responsibility for their financial situations when they are actually in a position to do so.

Seriously, pornstars get free shit all the time because they're hot.

Why is it so outrageous that a man posts a donation link just because he's cool and people like him? Why is that any less respectable than a pornstar?

Shit, if RS had a pornstar girl here you guys would line up to kiss her ass! I bet you guys follow pornstars on Twitter! Ever seen an "Amazon Wish List" on your favorite pornstar's twitter? They're doing the same fucking thing...

Seriously, I'm going to make a GoFundMe for my camber arms and I'll take whatever abuse RS throws at me!

You should probably find yourself a girlfriend or seek help for sex addiction if you really think that.

Berzerker 06-05-2015 08:59 AM

Basically it's exactly what I posted in the other thread. An easy way for his friends to help him out. Easy to click and donate than to say here's $20 bro sorry about your luck.

I have lots of friends that IF I reached out to wouldn't hesitate for a second to "donate" a lot more than he was asking for. I wouldn't even need a reason. That's what friends are for. He posted it on HIS facebook, not RS, and someone else cross posted it. Just because he has spent money doesn't mean he HAS money. Trust me on that. Having spent thousands upon thousands on my builds I know what it's like when something goes wrong after you've just tapped yourself. ie Turbo blows up 2 weeks after finishing the build. MY FRIENDS helped me out.

If you were honestly offended by this guys friends helping him out, you've got to look inside yourself at what is wrong with you, not him.

Berz out.

radioman 06-05-2015 09:14 AM

Hopefully you at least learned that not all your "friends" on facebook are friends and that what you post online can come around to hurt you. You should probably change your privacy settings. Dont allow friends of friends.

You probably didn't deserve the full wrath of revscene (even though RS has done worse) you still made yourself look extremely bad.

Lesson learned.

Ronin 06-05-2015 09:42 AM

LOL why is this guy getting so much hate? People don't HAVE to give him money. I wouldn't. Giving money to every person on the Internet with a sob story is just poor financial planning. Impulse donating is as bad for your bank account as impulse buying...except you can't get your money back like you would if you bought a electric trampoline.

But it isn't OP's fault that people are stupid and gave him money when he clearly isn't in serious need.

nma 06-05-2015 09:54 AM

Since when is it necessary for someone to be in serious need to donate money? I've funded friends with various objectives, who I'm sure with enough time could have funded themselves. They thought they deserved a break and asked for funding. No big deal. To some I laughed, to others the friends were close enough to me and I knew they worked hard and wanted to give them a break.

I don't know this guy so I can't comment on his work ethic but who cares. His friends made that decision, and without knowing their personal history, how can you go ahead and call those people offensive names? You know they came to their own conclusions, based on things they know and you guys probably don't.

Ronin 06-05-2015 09:57 AM

Wait so he knows everyone that contributed to that $700? I thought he knew some of them but others are crazy people that gave a stranger money because he said something on the Internet.

Friends is different. Anyone that I would lend money to is a good enough friend that I wouldn't expect it back...but otherwise, there's no way. If I read OP's story and I didn't know him, I'd just be all :fuckthatshit:

I mean I doubt he created that thinking random people would go ahead and dump him money. I think he just used the online platform as a way of collecting funds. Then it became more popular than he thought it would be and actually got money from strangers. Doubt that was his intention tho.

Either way it shouldn't really matter. People are free to donate at their own will. Giving someone $5-10 is not the end of the world. The bigger donations I would assume were all personal

jing 06-05-2015 10:03 AM

In hindsight, my second post in the original thread was rude and has since been edited. As for the meme however, take it at face value. A stupid Internet meme (of someone else and not your personal photo) that a bunch of us got a laugh of. No need to take it personally.

Rdk1 06-05-2015 10:08 AM

The internet bullying here is pathetic.

Just shows how insecure all the little kids here are. Le sigh,

Phil@rise 06-05-2015 10:15 AM

the rs wrecking crew needlessly targeting someone whos done no one no harm?
What surprises me is this guys need to explain himself to the lot of you. what business is it of anyone here?

I really think that because I've supported myself through internet sales of adult material without needing a 9-5 for 12 years...

All I am trying to say is people are easily manipulated by people who can seduce with their looks, or words!

Publicly posting a "Donations welcome" link and type up a fucking sappy story to garner interest and sway the emotions of your friends on facebook to donate is another.

I don't know you man but that is manipulative and pathetic. Nice demonstration of scum like behavior. If the pile of shit on the floor looks and smells like shit, it is probably shit.

What he does is none of your business. Who are you to judge?

I completely understand the joke is among friends and no harm was meant to be done. But seriously kid, MAYBE its time you learn some financial responsibility. Learn to save money for those rainy days and not in your car trying to win internet fame or being "that guy with the really unique car".

If you should get mad at anyone, get mad at your friends for not telling and advising you better. A good friend would think logically a go "That sounds like a bad idea". What's even worse is how naïve they are and that they're defending you like its okay to cast out a line and see how many fish hook to your "cause".

Hopefully you'll learn not to flaunt all your money that you have and your expensive wheels and body kit on social media and cry for money next time. Social media is a so easy to ruin one's self.

I got to say its impressive how much you raised with such short amount of time in the midst of all this. You'll learn life is full or shit, you just learn to pick yourself up and move on. Just in case should probably look into whether you could get taxed for this. In the end it is what it is and whats done is done. Use the money for what it is intended for, and perhaps do something good with the rest?

It doesn't matter what your principle is when it's none of your business.

If people donated, then people donated - end of story. No one gives a rat ass whether you're surprised / you feel this is a first world problem. Move on if you don't like it. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has them, however it doesn't mean you have to run around with your pants down showing everyone your asshole.

Fuck you white knights

We can talk shit about him just as much as he can ask for donations AND just as much as you can say its no big deal

He asked for donations on a public site then its going to get a public response

The minute he put his request on a PUBLIC site for EVERYONE to see, it became EVERYONE's business to comment on.

I personally believe that true friends don't ask their friends for handouts when they have jobs and blatantly have more disposable income than many.

Dimwits. All of them. The guy who begged and the people who gave. They all have more money than they have smarts.

When you use a public website to ask for things like donations you're opening yourself up to scrutiny. Don't like it? Then don't use public forums to ask for things.

Big difference, IMO, was that our asian hipster friend asked his friends...

The 50k baby couple are fucking retards who asked the public...
