Yes but why is it that when a guy asks for car parts from his friends, he's a horrible guy...

Meanwhile when chicks ask for money to take their clothes off, that is somehow much more noble? Yes you're getting a product, but the manipulation to get your money is far greater than some asian dude with a Dragonball haircut asking for money for a car he gave a name to.

I mean, this whole backlash is crazy, the guy is just a hipster with a funny attitude and he only asked for like $500. A lot of people lose that at the casino in one night.

In our culture, narcissistic tranny freaks like this:

https://instagram.com/gigigorgeous/

Are rewarded with attention, money, celebrity just for being completely self-absorbed and they go without any sort of public backlash, in fact, they are praised for being super-self absorbed.

One straight asian male asks for $500 from his friends and you all pile on him?

Hate on the freaks of this world, not your car-loving bros who posted a GoFundMe intended for his friends. Jesus guys, come on.

westopher 06-05-2015 12:38 PM

The difference is, the chick fingerbanging herself in front of a camera is offering something in exchange for that money. Its not begging if you are offering goods and services.

He asked Facebook. As much as people would like to believe thats just asking your friends, it isn't. Either way. I'm not going to hate the guy for it, or wish ill will upon him or any of his friends that donated. I'm just going to continue be disgusted with it.

Good on ya. Life shat on you, you got people to help you out (albeit in an unorthodox manner), and you're willing to turn it all back and take your lumps.

Like I posted in the other thread, I hoped you had the guts to give it back (though I was figuring after things settled down in financial terms of getting your car back the second time), and you do.

I'm not you, and you're not me, but I could easily put myself in your shoes. I was in the same place for a short while, but stuck it out. Car was in a hit and run, paid the deductible, got the car back and then someone fucked up the rear bumper, paid the deductible and fixed that. Bought a dashcam, etc. I probably make as much as you do, and I've never really flaunted it other than paying for shit tons of drinks for my bros sometimes.

What happened here was people being fairly (in the sense that it was fair for them to be upset about it) upset about your willingness to flaunt what you had when it was good and then ask for help as soon as it got bad even though you could eventually fairly easily pull yourself out of it with time. It might not have been anyone else's business what you do with your friends, but as you know - this is a community, and in every community, word gets around.

Either way, go get laid, have a beer, have a smoke, do what you do, relax, chill out and move on.

belaud 06-05-2015 12:50 PM

Since he won't let me let him keep his money.... I'll just gift something else to him

Not money, therefore it's ok :fuckthatshit:

Y'all need to calm down and drink beer.

Ahhh Westopher, I will propose that the asian hipster DOES offer something in exchange, the porthole into his life on Facebook may produce many smiles on his friend's faces rather than just a quick wank watching a monitor in a dark room.

Are those smiles somehow worth less than jerking off?

Why do we prioritize sexual pleasure over seeing a friend happy?

Ok, well, I'm going to make a video and a GoFundMe soon for my camber arms and post the video on my Facebook and then link it here.

If I take a huge amount of shit for it, so be it!

The recent resurgence of that other fund me campaign made me think about this one and what happened to it.

People in that thread talked about her being in the hospital, and rehab for years, and fucked up for life, and they defended that campaign. Well seems like she was more or less back to normal life in ~4 months. I mean if you can go on hikes, biking and golfing, pretty sure you can go to work. I see nowhere it says the remainder of the unused money was given to charity. Seems like you were all had there as well.

Yup, they all paid for her move to HK while she waits for her big (and deserved) payday from ICBC... Nice score on her part, definitely should have been given to charity into head trauma research or something.

Go for it. It's not the fact that he is asking for money. It's the fact his reasons for it are fucking stupid and he was actually serious when he wrote his go fund me description, like he was dying from a horrible disease and he really needed the money.

Uhhh dude... there are so many webcam girls making 10k+ a month for just spreading pussy, they are then loved on Instagram and hailed as "amazing people".

How is that any more respectable than asking your friends for a small amount of cash so you can fix your beloved car?

You people are so fucking retarded.

Will it involve a rubber fist modelled after Matthew Mcconougheys?

No, I'm planning to wear a sombrero and make fun of the mexican stance. Still writing a short screenplay. Going to have my girlfriend film it using my Blackberry Z30!

Why can't these strippers be respectable? They provide a service for cash because they NEED the money. Atleast they aren't asking for handouts. Your analogies are fucking stupid. If youre going to attack personally then I will too.. YOU FUCKING RETARD

:)

multicartual 06-05-2015 02:49 PM

It is just another form of manipulation, retard, one is in prose and the other in flesh.

Yet you only attack those who ask in print form!

Nearly everyone is out to take your money, once you realize that you'll see the error in attacking this guy.

that is some serious 1st world problem if I ever saw one. how did you tap yourself knowing you just spend thousands on a turbo setup? As in you couldn't afford another nice mod shortly afterwards or couldn't make rent? I can't comment on everyone's financial situation or habits but that just seems illogical.

Again, at the end of the day, not my money, not my problem. I'm happy you have great friends. I'd personally would not ask nor accept should I find myself in a situation like that (dropping serious coin on a toy only to have misfortunes to it). If they wanna help out in terms of carpooling to work because it's the daily driver that failed, or lend you a hand fixing her up, i'd gladly take that help, but not monetary support.

to be clear, he posted it on forums too, like his frs club

i felt it was a bit pathetic to ask for money, with all things considered, but that's that who cares? but i was more shocked at the people who donated to it (rs members too supposedly)...

i mean think about it, there was a guy who posted on rs about this racing adventure he was going to embark on across canada with his buddy, and he asked for donations too, but not for himself, for an alzheimers charity instead, and no one but i donated! (last i checked) wtf?! http://www.revscene.net/forums/70336...lzheimers.html

so the backlash against this guy is a bit amazing to me, it was directed in the wrong direction imho, but it was still mildly entertaining...

you know what Krovi, you should donate that money to a charity instead! http://my.e2rm.com/PersonalPage.aspx...ID%253d2875553

Grim 06-05-2015 04:16 PM

still waiting on my donation... fucking hell
jokes aside,

posted on FB and FRS ft86 club doesnt really justify the part where he claims to be a closed off donation within friends and family circle.
And no one mentioned about the title?
it really bugs me... so im gonna point it out.

Dont Fund me, I'll make it through this on my own

by the sound/tone of it, it sounds like people owe him for something.
and i swear to god.. according to the story, its not his fault... so he doesnt need to pay for any deductible unless im tripping balls.
what is the donation funding if there is no deductible to be paid?!

the argument could be said that the donation is going towards his first vandalism claim, but seriously... that makes no sense; under going claim, spends all the money, cant pay the first claim's deductible... my head is full of fucks

but seriously, im taking cash donations for my unfortunate event.. my baby is badly hurt

I couldn't afford $1500 for a new turbo son. I only had my 1 car. Soooo needed a new turbo and my friends came through for me. That's what friends do for each other. I've also helped out friends in bind. It's called Karma.

Berz out.

I'm with twitchyzero and no idea if I'm minority or majority but I'd never except any money from my friends for something like that. Starving, can't afford to eat maybe? Out for dinner I'll grab the bill this time you grab it next time? Sure. $500? $1,500 for modding a vehicle or paying for a deductible when I just spent 3-4 times that on Rims that are nothing more then cosmetic? Hell no, I'd rather go dumpster diving then ask my friends for something like that it's more classy.

Different strokes for different folks, everyone has different relationships but speaking purely from my moral compass there is no fucking way. That said everyone is entitled to do what they want so long as it's not illegal and everybody else is allowed to have an opinion on it.

Hondaracer 06-05-2015 05:18 PM

your priorities are pretty fucked up when you're spending big money on fucking turbo's and cant afford another vehicle when you blow it up shortly after..

Asian hipster asked his friends on facebook under a Public privacy setting and thanked his friends for 'sharing' it on their own facebook wall so that as many people can know as possible.

i wouldn't be in that situation in the first place because if I had to rely on that 1 car as my only mode of transportation i wouldn't throw in a turbo affecting its reliability.

let's say I did:

1. take it back to the shop since it's only been two weeks?
2. no warranty or may be the shop denies you cause you were WOT any chance you get, take out the turbo in the meantime?
3. blown your engine too? carpool
4. if all else fails, take the bus

asking friends for money will never be on this list for me. Not trying to be a saint or logic nazi but perhaps we were raised with different values and i'm not saying i'm right and you're wrong.
