If he were a girl he could just dildo his pussy on webcam and make a ton of money without any real work.

Swaying people's emotions through his body, rather than words, yet I bet a ton of you RS'ers probably pay cam girls for private shows!

Seriously, pornstars get free shit all the time because they're hot.

Why is it so outrageous that a man posts a donation link just because he's cool and people like him? Why is that any less respectable than a pornstar?

Shit, if RS had a pornstar girl here you guys would line up to kiss her ass! I bet you guys follow pornstars on Twitter! Ever seen an "Amazon Wish List" on your favorite pornstar's twitter? They're doing the same fucking thing...

Seriously, I'm going to make a GoFundMe for my camber arms and I'll take whatever abuse RS throws at me!

33,000 so far?

This money is going to do more harm than good, if local thugs find out they'll want to hurt him even more!

Not to derail this thread further but that kinda sucks, good on you for owning property in Vancouver (seriously, that is impressive esp with the cost of property what it is now) but what good is that if you never got to enjoy the fun and fulfillment that comes with having a fun car? IMO, saving is good but enjoying the fruits of your hard work is also important. And I think the best time to have that type of fun and (let's face it) impratical car is when you're young and have no attachments. So you don't feel bad for blowing a significant chunk of your paychecks on parts and such.

Maybe it's just the Asian mentality of "paying it forward" but I would feel guilty about owning a project/fun car while trying to raise kids as I know the money would be better spent on helping them get post-secondary education, paying down the mortgage on the family home, or even part of a down payment on their first home...

Well, it's too late for that now... I don't exactly have the funds to buy sports car now. But I have enough saved up to spend a bit on on mods for my current car. Just this past month, I've been reflecting and trying to change my attitude toward life and cars. It's time I get over myself and my past on missing certain things in my youth, and the path I've taken to get to where I am now. There's pros and cons to everything in life.

No, my car is no sports car and it never will be. But I'll try and appreciate what I have instead of being butthurt over what I don't have. A few mods to rejuvenate my old car and it'll satisfy my hobby. If I can be content with my ride, then that's all that counts.

I honestly don't give a rat ass about OP's funding campaign and don't get why people shit on him. I mean, he's a kid, of course he's going to do some dumb shit.

But I thanked him for not only making a statement to make things right, but he included a FUCKING TL;DR in the long ass post!!! :fuckyea:

Mr.Money 06-05-2015 05:04 AM

Oooh...i can why the heat was dumped on him for this....i mean he's able & willing to earn the $$$ in a matter of time, and the poor sheep decided to Feed into his Sad Sob story...i can't Believe people would open their Wallets so easy.....Best Scam since Antony!..Return 700 dollars?...

This reminded me of that other fund me campaign:

http://www.revscene.net/forums/69724...l-costs-6.html

The recent resurgence of that other fund me campaign made me think about this one and what happened to it.

People in that thread talked about her being in the hospital, and rehab for years, and fucked up for life, and they defended that campaign. Well seems like she was more or less back to normal life in ~4 months. I mean if you can go on hikes, biking and golfing, pretty sure you can go to work. I see nowhere it says the remainder of the unused money was given to charity. Seems like you were all had there as well.

Lol a kid?! Isn't he like 22? Either way good on him for owning up to a stupid decision. Selfishness comes back to bite hard for most people.

mr_chin 06-05-2015 05:40 AM

I can't believe people take internet reputation so seriously.

And I also can't believe the number of haters that nose in on other people's business. This guy started a fund and was successful at it, I don't see the problem with that. It's like going up to a panhandler on the street and kicking his cup of coins or a charity and spewing insulting and hating shit at them.

The reason people start these campaign is because they run into unfortunate events in their lives where they just can't or don't want to fix with their own money, well, because its' unfortunate. He reached out to the world and successfully gain sympathy and accomplished his goal.

Honestly OP, I'd say keep the money and do something with it. You don't give back things people give to you with their heart. That's just rude.

Actually in the one instance I can recall where a guy saw a panhandler getting into a nice car, the guy did confront her and tell her it was shameful she was taking money for others when it was clear she had money herself:

OKC Panhandler Confronted After Being Seen Driving New Car - News9.com - Oklahoma City, OK - News, Weather, Video and Sports |

So in real life, yeah if I saw some guy panhandling and I knew he had a nice FRS, with wheels and a brand new paint job, I probably would kick his cup and tell him to fuck off.

EDIT: For the record i dislike most panhandling, standing on a street corner asking for a handout is annoying, especially when I see the same fucker on my way too and from work everyday. Like bitch I'm on my way to work, get off your ass and find a real job.

swfk 06-05-2015 05:46 AM

I think I can relate to this a little. I mentioned the brief story to Brandon already. Basically after I got hijacked, losing my car and all my parts, work and effort put in, it was devastating. No coverage to a lot of things like assault and battery, psychiatrist, my after market parts.

I felt like I was entitled to everything and I never deserved this bad luck. I became really moody for the next two months and felt like society owed it to me and I must ventilate.

Glad some are giving him a break.

Ulic Qel-Droma 06-05-2015 06:31 AM

i don't get what the fuss is about.

wasn't every cent donated to him... donated to him willingly by the donors...

lol wtf.

toyobaru 06-05-2015 06:34 AM

The problem is the principle of the matter. Your problem is truly a first world problem.

I completely understand the joke is among friends and no harm was meant to be done. But seriously kid, MAYBE its time you learn some financial responsibility. Learn to save money for those rainy days and not in your car trying to win internet fame or being "that guy with the really unique car".

If you should get mad at anyone, get mad at your friends for not telling and advising you better. A good friend would think logically a go "That sounds like a bad idea". What's even worse is how naïve they are and that they're defending you like its okay to cast out a line and see how many fish hook to your "cause".

Hopefully you'll learn not to flaunt all your money that you have and your expensive wheels and body kit on social media and cry for money next time. Social media is a so easy to ruin one's self.

I got to say its impressive how much you raised with such short amount of time in the midst of all this. You'll learn life is full of shit, you just learn to pick yourself up and move on. Just in case should probably look into whether you could get taxed for this. In the end it is what it is and whats done is done. Use the money for what it is intended for, and perhaps do something good with the rest?

Hot Karl 06-05-2015 06:42 AM

the problem wasn't OP asking for money.

the problem is the bleeding heart pussies that give money to stupid things like this.

the same idiots that see a meme try to be smart and quote it like it's scientific fact.

the same idiots that give money to panhandlers thus creating a panhandling market.

the same idiots who think donating to make a dogecoin nascar is some sort of worthy event.

i won't be donating my own money for the equivalent of a guy sitting on a whoopie cushion. that being said, you could start up your own campaign to sit on a whoopie cushion filled with shit and start up a fund.

smaggs 06-05-2015 06:46 AM

Life's tough, deal with it. You're gonna have a tough time when you start to have real problems.

BoostedBB6 06-05-2015 06:57 AM

Hey OP, FYI taking your Scion to track days voids any and all power train warranty you have.
I would be rather careful about taking it to a track, or posting about it. I have seen a number of customers be refused warranty due to this exact fact.

PS. This is important seeing as they have a number of TSB's regarding brake booster/firewall flex and Toyota is even replacing transmissions in some cars because of a grind in 3-5th.

murd0c 06-05-2015 07:10 AM

Good on you for standing up for yourself and saying that you will make things good. Take this as a lesson learned and man don't be flashing your public info around on FB and the internet like you have because it could really fuck you with all of the scam artists out there. Life is about learning from your mistakes and hopefully all of this BS taught you something.

Maybe he got the FRS, wheels and a brand new paint job from panhandling? Lol.

Even though OP has money, sometimes people just need a hand to get by those unfortunate times.

$700 is nothing and he didn't deserve to be flamed on for that.

Didn't Open Road host alot of track events for FRS/BRZ when it first came out? So they were trying to get people to void their warranties?:lol
