SumAznGuy 02-29-2016 09:39 AM

Kris Russel to Dallas

highfive 02-29-2016 09:42 AM

No 1st around pick.

at least the price is high?

SumAznGuy 02-29-2016 09:45 AM

Boston is supposed to be making a big push for Hamhuis.

6o4__boi 02-29-2016 09:45 AM

Khochklakev or however the fuck you spell his name is apparently on the board for Bruins push for Hammer

small forward putting up big points in the A
Sound familiar?

cdizzle_996 02-29-2016 09:46 AM

Sounds like he'd fit right in with our organization

sonick 02-29-2016 09:48 AM

What are the chances he'd waive NTC to go to Boston of all places

6o4__boi 02-29-2016 09:48 AM

Flames killed it with that Russell deal

we can't even get returns that's half as decent as that
goddamn this franchise is depressingly incompetent

highfive 02-29-2016 09:49 AM

Benning thinks small ball is the way to win now. Look at golden state. lol

stars pick becomes 1st if they make it to conference finals.

Hondaracer 02-29-2016 09:50 AM

If we turned down that same return over hammer were fucked.

I can't see it since he wants to stay in the west

Mike Oxbig 02-29-2016 09:53 AM

Can we get Adrian kempe from LA for Hamhuis with retained salary?

cdizzle_996 02-29-2016 09:54 AM

Inb4 Hammer to Dallas for a 3rd and we retain 50% salary

AzNightmare 02-29-2016 09:55 AM

LOL. If Hammer and Vrbata stays due to incompetence... Not even surprised
:fuckthatshit:

Liquid_o2 02-29-2016 09:55 AM

OMG Calgary took Dallas to the cleaners. Jokipakka is a good strong young d-man and Pollock has a promising future.

Benning!!!!!!!!!!!!!

murd0c 02-29-2016 09:56 AM

and the conditions of the pick are legit

Liquid_o2 02-29-2016 09:58 AM

Calgary picked up Russell for a 5th round pick a few years ago. Turned around and traded him for a solid package. With the Hudler and Russell trades, Treliving is looking like a genius.

sonick 02-29-2016 09:59 AM

On the positive side, the bar is set higher on the return for Hamuis... possibly.

Devastator 02-29-2016 10:00 AM

We can say all we want about management, but we all know aquaman makes the final call on a Dallas trade. Imagine handing the final piece to the eventual Stanley cup winner with their past history.

you gotta factor in Benning's mental capacity

it's not looking good for us either way

Stars fans are pissed about the Russell trade, giving up too much for a very avg dman that really isn't much of an upgrade over their bottom 3 D, they seem to have been expecting a package like this for Hammer, not Russell. Wonder if Benning was offered this package

jdmhaze 02-29-2016 10:03 AM

Benning probably got offered that but wanted a secured 1st rounder instead of conditional 2nd

DAL got robbed. Although, I don't see the 2nd conditional turning into a 1st for CGY.

Ch28 02-29-2016 10:05 AM

Russell's corsi numbers are atrocious. The Flames rarely have possession whenever he's on the ice hahaha

Liquid_o2 02-29-2016 10:05 AM

2nd round pick and two young players is still a hell of a deal for Russell who is a 2nd or 3rd pairing defenseman. I feel Russell is going to get knocked around in the playoffs by the likes of Anaheim and LA.
