I don't disagree, but at the end of the 2nd, he led all forwards in ice time with around 12 minutes from what I remember. He ended up at a less insane 15 minutes total at the end of the game as Horvat (around 10 minutes played in the 3rd) and McCann took most of the center duties in the 3rd.

I'd expect a guy who's on the wrong side of 30 and has been in and out of the NHL for the past several years to be in the 5-10 range, not mid-teens.

With regards to the Burrows thing. Players in the NHL punch eachother and fights happen every game and people are surprised when someone like Burrows is using whatever edge he can against the opposition.

Its professional sports, use what you have to your advantage. At the end of the day you're still being paid millions of dollars to play the sport you love.

Its acceptable. No one ever said Burrows is suppose to be a good role model. Hes known as an agitator.

I've heard worse at the high school baseball level. I'd expect a pro hockey player to either fight the guy if he crossed the line verbally (which POS didn't; 0 career fights) or suck it up and move on. Burrows isn't like John Scott where he could just pummel him to death. It's the only major professional league where fighting is actually acceptable.

Bringing shit like that up several years later when he has a book on the market screams publicity stunt more than anything.

He's the only real viable option in terms of C that have NHL experience and some ounce of offensive skill

^dal cole got drafted in the first round and he got cut two times in a row from the world juniors...as for chychryn i watched him during the ohl vs russia select team and he seemed ok i mean nothing special, didnt really hit, makes a good first pass but other then that hes know ekblad...but as they say defensemen take alot longer to develope if somehow we could get mathews if the canucks are that bad and also trade up to try and get chychryn the rebuild would be in full effect...that means sedins will pretty much be there to mentor the kids and not challenge for a cup which sucks but yeah double edged sword at its finest right there...

matthews is good along the boards, has a good cycling game and good wrister, its like henrik and daniel. All in one
