Basically, Vrbata was pissed and sulked like a little kid because he couldn't play on the top line. WD knew he wasn't playing his best but kept him playing every game till he got hurt. And JB didn't talk to Vrbata or offer to trade him earlier on and instead Vrbata screwed the club by only limited them to 3 teams that he wanted to be traded to, so now he gets to walk away as a free agent and the club gets nothing back.

Its Ok, Bennings mistakes will be forgiven by his draft picks. Hopefully he will step down one day and become our head scout

We signed him as a UFA though so I'm not upset about no return if he walks away. If anything, Vrbata screwed himself by having a shitty season and an even shittier attitude. Not many GMs are going to sign 35 year old scorer that's never shown up in the playoffs.

I have to agree with that. Benning's draft record has been pretty good so far.

So far we are able to get 3 NHL players and 2 potentially NHL players as well.

Way better than the days where we drafted Grabner or White.

If he could somehow move Miller and have Demko come in as a #2, that could get him to sign.

I'm pretty confident he'll sign. Demko can't expect to own the crease in his rookie season. He'll learn from Markstrom and hopefully earn the baton down the road.

he needs to play at least a year in the AHL.. No goalies come straight out of Jr or College and go straight into the NHL

Demko has another year at college. Not sure what trading Miller would accomplish since he's only signed on for another year.

Why have markstrom and demko in the system when expansion draft pick is coming up. Demko should start in AHL after college

That NCAA loophole is fucking things up...I know it's a little too late but hopefully that gets resolved this summer or next season.
