Considering Diaz, gragnani, friberg along with many other better players cleared the chances corrado gets claimed is very slim. Problem is we always overrate our own prospects. He's proved he can play in the ahl so far and looks like someone who might be a 5th or 6thdman. Theres lots of these guys around, many who are much better and we already have Hutton bartowski and weber who are more useful, playing better and have better upside.

Expresso 10-04-2015 02:53 PM

Lets face it, Canucks wouldn't do it anyways.

I agree with that as well. At least until all the teams figure out a new strategy to use for the 3 on 3 OT. I notice a lot of teams in the offensive zone have started dumping the puck back into their own end to maintain possession. Pretty difficult to defend this tactic right now as it's rarely done outside of 3 on 3 situations.

In the interviews after the game, Nuge said he was picking up the trailer (Edler), which gives the impression that he thought Hall was going to take Daniel. By the time he realized no one had taken Daniel, it was too late.

Pouliot with a terrible line change as the Canucks were coming up the ice deserves honourable mention as well.

is he the banished one like Jared Staal

hahah

Tegra_Devil 10-04-2015 08:54 PM

He definitely is

SumAznGuy 10-05-2015 06:27 AM

According to Bob MacKenzie, he belives McCann, Virtanen, and Hutton will start the season in the NHL.
So the question is will JB risk losing Vey and Corrado by putting them on waivers and sending them down to Utica?
Seeing how all the other NHL clubs are putting some decent talent on waivers and not too many have been claimed, I am guessing JB will take the gamble.

6o4__boi 10-05-2015 07:17 AM

Vey will clear 120%

Corrado, I don't think so...I wouldn't risk losing him to waivers yet.

Tim Budong 10-05-2015 08:04 AM

corrado likely on waivers...according to dan murphy...
never know how credible he is, but considering he travels with team... its a good chance its true

from marc bergevin

Zack [Kassian] has a fractured nose and a fractured left foot. We're still gathering information about the incident." - Marc Bergevin

nvm..
bobmac tweeted vey and corrado on waivers

This explains why we had to give up a draft pic for him as well EleGiggle

6o4__boi 10-05-2015 08:11 AM

lol is this real life

Vancouver doing things that make sense...holy shit somebody engrave today's date and events on a fucking plaque before we all forget

would suck if we lost Corrado and/or Biega tho

murd0c 10-05-2015 08:14 AM

Biega is on waivers as well so that means Cracknell is on the team also.... I'm shocked management is doing what should be done for once.

Tim Budong 10-05-2015 08:14 AM

corrado is a gamble

more on kassian..

"I'm a firm believer in character and that's a lack of character and judgment in his part" - Marc Bergevin on Zack Kassian.

sonick 10-05-2015 08:16 AM

Vey and Corrado officially on waivers. Also Mason Raymond lol.

6o4__boi 10-05-2015 08:22 AM

Sucks for Kass but JB must be like :joy:
that fifth rounder is an afterthought at this point esp if we can flip Prust for another 5th at the deadline.

I think you can easily flip prust for more than a 5th.

murd0c 10-05-2015 08:32 AM

Prut at the trade deadline should be able to get a 2-3rd round pick. Big strong player that's perfect for the playoffs. By the looks of things we might have a number of draft picks if everything falls into place correctly.

7seven 10-05-2015 08:36 AM

Apparently Bergevin is really pissed off at the press conference talking about Kassian, there is talk they might suspend him and status with NHL is unclear right now. Sounds like there is more to this story than Kassian partying till 6am, letting a drunk 20 year old drive his truck with 2 other 18 year old passengers, some things never change with Zack.

Benning has said if any of the young kids challenge for a spot and make it, he / management would make room for them

im shocked he stuck to his word by sending Vey and Corrado to waivers

I personally wouldn't mind seeing Vey lost and claimed on waivers... :troll:

Thank goodness someone has some sense, when I read Desjardins quotes after the last game I was cringing as he said that he thought Sutter looked really good with the Sedins and that he wasn't so sure Horvat had done enough to show he was a 2nd line centre and could still have a sophomore jinx.

Why conjecture about whether a player will fail this year as their coach? And I don't know what game he was watching, but the one I saw showed Sutter looking more out of place than Jannik Hansen with the Sedins.

Ch28 10-05-2015 08:57 AM

Vey is useless and this further cements the fact that he has a lot of work to do in order to play in the NHL

Sutter isn't a sniper. He's more of a play maker, set up man.
So yeah, playing him with the twins would look silly.

One of the things that I noticed over the years is that some coaches really don't have a good grasp of the talent they have in their players.

IE putting the twins on the shoot out or playing Sutter with the twins.
