Only mentioned who I saw last night from our "new" prospects. Since it was my first game I watched this preseason. Bo didn't count as he's already on the team so I didn't mention him.

Knowing Willie D he will fuck up that line just cuz they signed sutter to a big contract and want him up on the second line instead of Bo. IMO Bo looks prime time for the second line and sutter is a glorified 3A centre.

lol...side note I'm wondering if canucks practice the 3on3 so far from the both times they lost in the defensive zone coverage was shit. I mean it is 3on3 and it is tuff to defend but in reality they should just go 3 forwards and play man on man in their own end!

McCann has looked good but there isn't a spot for him as a center with Henrik/Bo/Sutter occupying the slots.

No point in having him play on the 4th with plugs like Prust and Dorsett. Would rather see him back in junior/AHL than stunt his development with meaningless linemates/minutes.

Wouldn't mind McCann on the wing though but again, not really a spot for him. It might come down to Virtanen or McCann that sticks and takes Higgins' slot with his injury.

Canucks should have picked up Jeff Tambillin he was servicable when he played here and Tampa put him on waivers the other day! At least JT had some battle and could actually skate and score!

I beg to differ, i think that's all the more reason to have him in the 4th line. He's at the stage Bo was last year. Another year in junior at 19 would do more harm than good. Bo started in the 4th line last year as well.

Sure Prust and Dorsett might not put up the points but i'd hardly call em plugs. We've had worse in our bottom 3 before.

Interesting thoughts.
Basically Vey is given a free pass because the Nucks have no 4th line center since Gaunce has been converted to a winger.
McCann defensively is much stronger than Virtanen this they think will make the club as a 19 year old.
It's going to be interesting to see how the 23 man roster will look in a week.

No mention of Jensen. Didn't hear his name being mentioned too much in the pre-season games either. Guess his chances of making the club are done for.

Should've kept Brad Richardson as our 4th line center instead. Let the grinders grind.

With Higgins out gives some space for someone to prove their worth.
