I did a road trip with each car right when the water restrictions started... So many bugs.

Haven't tried the Autoglym wipes, but what I do is to keep baby wipes in the car, either in the glovebox or trunk. Baby wipes have some type of cleaning solution on them, so they aren't dry. Having said that, I usually have a few paper towels in the trunk as well, and often have a water bottle, so I'll often use that combo to immediately wipe off the bird poop. Main priority is to get the bird poop off ASAP, before it bakes in the sun.
Hmm, I actually don't know if all baby wipes are alcohol free or not--so they could potentially affect the clear coat. I initially figured that if it's ok for babies, it should be ok for a car, but perhaps that's not necessarily the case. Looks like some do have small amounts of alcohol as part of the cleaning solution.
[Edit. Ok, ignore my approach--there are better solutions listed in this thread.]

Works so well.
I detailed my car back in June, and have been wiping my car down once a week with this combo. Car feels nice and smooth. Gets rid of bird dropping so easily.

All out of the GoClean Waterless at Can Tire, so I picked up some Sanszo Waterless. Seems to work pretty well; I've never cleaned my car like that before. Bought a pack of new microfibers, used a couple to clean it and a clean one to buff after. Leaves a protective coat on which hopefully keeps the dirt off a bit easier. Would definitely be easier if I didn't let it get so dirty
Also teaches you a lesson of how important it is to wax your car; makes cleaning so much easier.
Where have you guys bought your Waterless cleaners, and what kind do you recommend?
^Will definitely keep it up with some Quik Cleaner too

But then we'd be in Nanaimo.
Nothing's stopping anyone from washing their car at the carwash. As long as people are conscious of the situation and aren't wasteful, I don't see a problem with it.

News1130 was saying that the ban will probably last through September.

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Don’t let all this rain fool you, stage three water restrictions in Metro Vancouver will likely continue until the end of this month.
While reservoir recovery is happening, it’s just not enough yet. Marilyn Towill with Metro Vancouver says the restrictions could even go into October because we are still at below normal levels for this time of year.
“This hasn’t been significant in a broader perspective yet, so not enough for us to move off of a stage three restriction yet,” says Towill. “It’s going to take quite a bit of rain to kind of move us back up into normal.”
Stage three means no lawn watering or car washing.
“We did have good adoptions of restrictions under the stage three and we really do need to that continue just to ensure that if we return to a drier pattern after this week’s rain events that they’ll have enough water to last through a longer dry spell.”
She says so far people have been pretty good at following the water restrictions.
“The rain is good, but what we’d like to see is people still being mindful of how they use the water so that we can really get through a longer dry spell.”

The way I see it, the longer the ban, the more sun we must be getting.
No complaints here.
