I assume the rear 1/4 trim panels are the same panels you're talking about in the picture below?

It annoys me a bit when a car that was clearly very treasured by someone ends up in the hands of a flipper. They always seem to end up just being passed around endlessly and never actually enjoyed by anyone.

TouringTeg 12-11-2018 05:17 PM

Whether it is a Hatchimal, Monopoly for Millenials or PS4 with Spiderman flippers will get in the way of the end user to make a buck.

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I couldn't agree more. Peoples greed just makes sure no one has fun.

underscore 12-11-2018 07:30 PM

They're part of why the asking price for my car is so high. I know it will have to come down to sell, but a flipper will just see the price and scroll past while an enthusiast who actually wants it is more likely to reach out and see if the price can come down (it can, quite a bit actually). Maybe my thought process is way off and that's a stupid way to do things but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't sell.

westopher 12-11-2018 08:00 PM

Personally, I'd price it lower, exactly what I'd want to get and then pick my buyer. Same mindset, different path though.

twitchyzero 12-11-2018 09:25 PM

no i actually hope more flippers grab the ITR, fix them up, and lose thousands and thousands like that loser on BaT stuck with the Quebec CDM 01 few pages back thinking the market is only made of Barrett Jackson high rollers

twitchyzero 12-11-2018 11:21 PM

biggest acura fanboy?

someone sell me a mint legend coupe please

AzNightmare 12-12-2018 02:26 PM

How do people enjoy cars if they are treated like collectors to begin with. No one wants to "molest" it cause the resale value will plummet.

Different thought process for me, but I would do what I would do with my cars, and resale comes secondary, not a big deal if I can't get optimal value back.

Can't save my girl for the next guy, you know?....

those Legend coupes are classy AF... and offered with a 6MT too!

the interior on both coupe and sedan are quite nice.

It is kind of a balance. I modified my car a little but can easily go back to stock. I bought my car cheap enough I will still track it as intended.

With my 993 C4S I started to worry about other drivers too much. Plus it was not a good for track which I wanted to do again.

As cars get older people usually do reversible mods and focus on preserving and maintaining them. Also stock piling OEM parts before they are discontinued.

twitchyzero 12-12-2018 09:02 PM

doubt most R specific parts are going to stop functioning
the rest, well it's an Integra, parts are cheap and/or interchangable with a Civic

68style 12-12-2018 09:33 PM

It’s not so much functioning as wear and tear... every older or rare car owner that cares stockpiles parts... I’ve got 2 sets of OEM Toyota floor mats for my MR2 Turbo before they were discontinued and all the TRD stuff... new mouldings or t-top weatherstrips... you don’t want used ones of those. That kind of thing.

See how can you sit down in that and have a bad day? You’re stressed or tired or broke and your car might be super old, but you sit down in that atmosphere and everything is so simple and elegant and just works / feels right... gives your soul something to centre itself around.

Iron Chef 12-13-2018 05:45 AM

94-97 mounting tabs go into the body
98-01 mounting tabs go into the reinforcement plate
There in different locations

It makes me sad that Honda just discontinued 98 - 01 headlights. 94 - 97 headlights were discontinued long ago.

I had a 95 V6 (very briefly) and holy shit that was a nice car to drive. It had the air purification system (not just some stupid filter, an actual air purifier), memory seats, even a car phone! Everything was electric, everything worked, going down a FSR it was so smooth I accidentally pulled too far ahead and lost the Jeeps and truck that were following me because they couldn't match the pace over the bumps

It was purchased cheap for a bachelor party and was not treated gently, in the end we only managed to kill it by jumping it 25ft and the nose down landing set off the airbags so it wouldn't restart. It was still running until we shut it off though. That thing was tough as nails and I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up as a daily driver.

Honda need to learn from Nisaan and open "Heritage Parts Program"

fabulous looking machines. that long hood line and lean body lines is timeless. if in good shape, will be a great "beater". actually i'd be ashamed to call it a beater, will always say its my daily driver.

Since we talking about a legend...
What you guys think about this sick render? 🤔
what if this really appears next few years, RLX legend!

tofu1413 12-13-2018 07:01 PM

Acura needs to get back to basics, clean simple designs. All those mixed shapes and sharp edges are really throwing off the Honda fan boys. It’s like the car was designed by a committee that can’t decide, so they use a suggestion box and try to use all of them!

!Aznboi128 12-13-2018 07:05 PM

Honda/Acura will never make a 2 door Legend. Prob make another SUV and name it that more than anything.

all-weather mats for integra should be easy to come by, few pages back there's also carpets with very convincing OEM replacments

the recaro-made leather buckets i have have slight wear on the bolsters, nothing some simple dye and conditioning can't fix

the leather-wrapped momo is also 98% of its original condition 150k later

take good care (garaging it probably helps) or get professionals like upholestry service and you don't have to worry much about stockpiling costly Type-R/TRD/M etc specific parts...everything else you can find relatively easy...except for the radio! don't ever toss out a stock one even if you think it's a piece of shit from the 90s
