Mercedes bringing an EV "minivan" to North America - I say "minivan" cause it's likely going to be 215" long (10" longer than most minivans). It's probably narrower than North American vans though since it needs to work in Europe and Asia.

Hate that new EV grille though but I love minivans.



I was thinking that it'd be neat if Acura would offer a minivan - minivan sales are up the last few years and no one offers a premium or luxury van and it'd be easy for Acura to build a van based off the Odyssey. Easy 20k units a year.

The grille seems obnoxious given how large it looks compared to the rest of the design. But then again, how would others know you bought a Mercedes-Benz without it?

Just buy an aphard, I still dunno how good German vans are, the buzz, was mid, we never got those weird transporters here or v class, R class was ok but obviously they didn't do good enough for mercedes to keep making them.

Fuck if you went back in time to me 20+ years ago and told me Lotus would eventually be a Chinese brand now selling EV’s I would have just ended myself then.

Yeah, Lotus is all but dead. Maybe with the EU backtracking on EV's they will get another model out... but who knows.

The lotus SUV looks pretty nice, and for $110 it doesn't sound too bad for an exotic brand. Apparently the emira with the AMG motor is pretty good now

ive been seeing a lot of i4 on fb, used for about 40k with decently low mileage.

I think i5 looks better, more normal 5 series looking. I7 definitely has grown on me more than the EQS, especially with the drop down monitor. Not sure about the reliability doe.

The key thing is it’s a LOT bigger than the ID buzz.

The EQV was a reliability disaster so we’ll have to see if EU taxi drivers buy the VQE or something else for their next car.

nah ive been charging it at work for free. its more than enough for an entire week.

Every "work day" i use around 5-7% round trip, so at the end of the week its not even down 50% usually. Plenty of range, no need to trip over stupid wires or potentially set my own house on fire.

and most importantly its completely free!!!!

the only downside is the fags that keep unplugging meeee lesbian car and the fact that its far as fuck from my office. like a good 10 minutes of walking. i might get a E scooter just so i dont have to walk like a peasant.

Then charge that E scooter at work too.

You'll have to check your manual to verify, but Reddit seems to say that the plug should lock while charging, and optionally can unlock when charge is completed.

There should be a menu option for this in the same screen as where you can choose a charging speed limit?

I guess if you lock them out then you might incur some additional risk of vandalism though. Maybe the actual best course of action is to summon the RS beat down crew.

no it does lock, but i have to use an adapter cuz the one at work is some t1772j charger or something, and the car only locks the adapter. The charging cord from the wall outlet can easily be unclipped from the adapter and thats what these clowns are doing.
