everyone is saying it takes 2 to tango with trade but like fuck me if this dumbass GM of ours didn't wait last minute to make a trade then he wouldn't be in this mess. You get hired to be a GM of a team your focus is getting your team to be better, make trades for picks/prospects, move out guys with expiring contacts for some sort of assets. If that GM doesn't do it at all then that person needs to get moved out for someone who can and will be more competent end rant....

i have pretty low expectations for the 'Caps
but at least the games are still fun to go to...and cheap as hell
hoping they beat NYRB and face one of the Mexican teams in the Semis. Having a Mexican league team to watch at BC place is gonna be a pretty fun experience.
Canucks are a pretty sorry excuse for a franchise right now. You'd think no one could ever match the Oilers pre-McDavid incompetence but nope, here comes a new challenger.
This is gonna be one of those depressing trade deadline again...and then the Canucks will win the last 5 games of the season...and draft 7th overall and the cycle begins again next year.

Coilers was bad...but at least they've somehow managed to luck away and get rewarded for their incompetence.
Canucks...well, we just got a player injured for participating at a fan event. And we have a front office that is either vetoed by ownership every step of the way or management that can't think within a box, let alone outside of it.

Lol | yea, the adv stats show that when McDavid is on the ice they are a playoff team. when hes not on the ice.... the oilers are typical oilers bad.
also boyle to the leafs for a 2nd and ahl forward
also possible canucks trade.. possibly burrows to Ottawa with an extension

our mid round picks have surprisingly been pretty good under Benning. The 1st rounds have been pretty questionable though.
Looks like Burr to Sens just being finalized. A 2 year extension is also in the works.
