But yeah, it's a company line. I hope to god they've made up their minds about being sellers by now and the talk of fighting for a playoff spot is all for show.
Interesting article by Larry Brooks...Rangers fans were pretty adamant about not wanting him on Twitter but i think he'd be a good fit there and would have at least a shot at a cup with AV. NHL pest who would make sense as a Rangers trade rental | New York Post
What would you guys want from NYR if Burrows were to go there?

-special unveiling of a statue to honour the late Pat Quinn tomorrow night prior to the game vs. Calgary.
Props to the big Irishman. Canucks Statue Unveiling - Video - NEWS 1130 https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/pat...na/c-286756488
On Saturday, February 18th hockey fans and members of the public are invited to a ceremonial unveiling of a Pat Quinn statue on Rogers Arena's Toyota Plaza.
The life sized statue is part of a legacy project created by a small group of Quinn's former colleagues, partners, family friends and fans who wanted to create a permanent legacy of Pat Quinn's amazing impact on hockey and Canadians from coast to coast to coast. The statue depicts Quinn coaching the Vancouver Canucks during the 1994 Stanley Cup playoffs and includes him holding a roster card engraved with each player's name from 1994 roster.
The statue also includes "Pat's Bench" for fans to sit and have their photos taken. The idea behind "Pat's Bench" originally came from Canadian Olympic athletes outside of Canada House in Salt Lake City. During the 2002 Winter Games, Quinn would often sit on a certain bench outside of Canada House and athletes from all sports would come and chat with him about anything and everything, specifically the ones that were not performing well. The statue's overall depiction reflects Pat's belief that all were part of the team, including fans, and was specifically created with that inclusion in mind.
The bronze statue was created by Norm Williams, one of Canada's pre-eminent sculptors and creator of the nearby Roger Nielsen statue at Rogers Arena. The City of Vancouver and the Vancouver Canucks have been important contributing partners in the statue's development and installation.
Quinn's legacy will also be reflected through the Pat Quinn Scholarship fund, which is currently in development. This fund will focus on hockey players and athletes continuing their pursuit of a professional degree or designation upon completion of their post-secondary education and intercollegiate athletic careers.
Fan are encouraged to dress warmly and arrive early for the ceremony and unveiling of the statue prior to the Canucks game versus the Calgary Flames.
When: Saturday, February 18th at 6:15 pm
Where: Toyota Plaza at Rogers Arena, near Pat Quinn Way
Who: Daughter Kalli Quinn, Trevor Linden, President Hockey Operations, Vancouver Canucks Canucks Alumni

lulz saw one of the nhl rumor twitter accounts suggest Lazar for Virtanen
I'm not huge on Virtanen panning out but even he's a better player than Lazar will ever be. That kid is ruined and it will take a minor miracle for him to become an NHLer again.

What would you guys want from NYR if Burrows were to go there? | Trading Burrows would still be complicated in that he has full NTC.
Veterans like Burrows would need to think about lifestyle and family considerations too in that IF he plays with the Rangers he would be playing in an area with a three hour time zone difference between him and his family. Would his wifey want him to be working that far away from his kids?
New York and Vancouver are not exactly close by.
For NHL players who are single, playing for the Rangers would be awesome. NYC has great night life, great food, lots to do, different market of hot ladies etc.

Burrows already said he would wave his NTC if the Canucks asked him so they can make the team better.

Virtanen has a higher ceiling than Lazar imo
Virtanen for Duclair I'd do in a heartbeat

problem with lazar is hes got a ceiling of a good 3rd liner. people used to compare him to horvat, but imo there was no real comparison. add on top of it that hes red/green color blind on a team that plays with red jerseys it def hurts his game
aparrently a deal being discussed between mtl and tb around plekanec

Willie will make sure that Vrbata plays on the fourth line.
