meh pap would of been cheap but would prob get pushed around in the west
imo trading partner is either philly or buffalo atm.
kane won his court case, and it will be dismissed if hes good for 6 months.buffalo was in talks with Vancouver about a trade for him earlier before this case came up, and its obvious they want to get rid of him. still injured altho his ribs are getting tested soon.
philly because kocency, bellemare, raffl, vorachek, simmons, laughton/cousins push read out of a spot + 3mil cap hit frees up space for them.
virts subban sbisa for kane + conditional pick(depending on behavior)?

if they brought in pap and he got bounced around for a year and left people would be bitching about how hes taking development time away from a player like Virtanen/gaunce/baer. like Higgins or weber/bartkowski last year, which turned into a mess.
yet, letting a prospect like Virtanen (or McCann last year) struggle in the nhl, when he should be in the ahl/juniors hurts his development, like it is this year
that's why you go for a middle aged player with some term who can play a position on the team, and let your prospects play a couple years in the ahl.
pls don't go after stafford

I thought michalek played ok at the begining of the season. He'swaved, I think ok. The team immediately gives his number away. Damn that's cold Lou at it again.

What benning should have done is picked up pirri in the summer for dirt cheap but didn't now has to do everything the hard way and hemorrhage drafts picks for a guy like Matt read? Fuck that!
Doesn't pick up PA for free doesn't make sense at all!
First waived stecher and sent him to Utica in favour of keeping biega up.
Waived etem which was ok with but then didn't pick him up when he was aviailble again which could have helped the shitty Utica team.
Didn't pick up RFAs in pujjarvi and mcillrath both younger then biega and Larsen and can control their rights.
Doesn't pick up pulkinen twice when he was put on waivers.
I mean if you look at it people say other teams waivers dumps there's a reason why they are getting waived. But seriously all those guys aren't equal or better then what Canucks have right now and on the farm?
So with all this speculation with benning trying to find scoring help who is gone, what will we have to give up and who for?

pulk 812k ahl salary
paaj 750k ahl salary
mcil 800k ahl salary
compare that to chaput the comets leading forward at 350k

Etem once he was on waivers from Anaheim the Canucks had first choice to him since someone picked him up and he would either go to the Canucks or straight to Utica without being able to go thru waivers again a 3rd time

Didn't somebody say that the reason behind etem is that he's a new dad and that picking him up and sending him to Utica would put him and his family another move. Whereas ahl for the ducks is in San Diego. Basically nobody is going to be a dipshit and claim him knowing he's better in Cali.
