This year, I'm planning on placing a large screen tv with scary scenes in the window at the front of house during Halloween to display scenes of horror. Too bad the VanHoover Cannots aren't playing on the 31st............
All kidding aside, the Canucks can be a decent team. They just need some spark plugs, some fuel, a timing belt, a fuel pump, a battery........... and, a steering wheel.
One can only make fun of them - it just plain hurts otherwise.

You know the coaching staff is fucked when Bo and Bae have 0% offensive zone starts
and their best dman is a guy playing his first NHL game
Seriously, Stecher outplayed everyone by miles and only Edler played more minutes. Fuck Larsen and Sbisa, this guy should be in the top 4.
Fucking fire Willie already.
The other moment that really set me off was Hank being wide open with an open net...and opts to fucking pass.
Christ, at some fucking point, you have to shoot. The pp has the same issue. Stop fucking passing around and just throw shit to the net.

Etem back on waivers today.
I feel bad for the guy. Newborn baby at home. On waivers twice already.

i just saw that
wasn't there a rule or something that if you put a guy you claimed from waivers back on waivers, he's gotta go back to the original team that waived him?

I believe the original team gets dibs on picking him back from waivers, assuming they want him.

I wonder when they'll finally come out with it and say Virtanen is injured
The proof is overwhelming. The guy goes out of his way to not hit anyone.
Plus 8 minutes a night with not much chance in the offensive zone.
Yup, add that to the list of prospects the Canucks are fucking up along with Tryamkin.

Jake is a big kid, and all of that battle adds up pretty quickly. Sometimes the team and/or the player needs to recognize that they're human, and take a day off to recover. Testosterone is a wonderful thing. It's what makes us men, and pushes us to do battle. But it also weakens the immune response. That's why today I have a cold, while Ch28 is the picture of health and chastity. Quote:

First off, you're typing, not partaking in conversational speech. You don't need filler words when you're typing. It's okay to think "uh" while coming up with something to say, you don't have to type it out.
Second, Tryamkin has held the KHL threat over the heads of the Canucks since day one. It's long been known that the AHL is the route to the NHL. The schedules, the lifestyle, the hockey, and the contacts are all NHL based. Tryamkin can get his development in Utica, which is a lot closer to our action compared to Yekaterinberg. He can learn the language and the North American game while playing with guys he could be in the NHL with one day.
Instead, he's been using his KHL stint as leverage for freedom, and money in his contract. In other words, Nikita only cares about Nikita.
Benning himself said recently, Quote:
“I think Nikita has practised hard. He’s certainly better than he was three weeks ago. I’m still real excited about him as a player. But he has to get himself — a little mentally, too — up to the intensity of every shift.”
| He is not in peak NHL condition. He is in KHL condition, which Benning admits is not up to the standards they expect.
So I stand by what I said earlier. Nikita needs to suck up his time, and earn his way into the NHL. In Russia he may be a big deal. But in the NHL, he's just another kid who feels like we owe him, not the other way around. |

what a shitty performance last night...
Bo needs more ice time.
Stecher played great. Small guy though.
Still think Guddy does nothing.
Boring game to be.

Best move for Virtanen is to go to Utica.
No ifs and buts about it.
Boggles my mind how incompetent this regime is.
He's also, what, 19? I don't buy the whole he got hit a bunch, he's tired, deal. He looks weak and unwilling to engage in physicality which is his role in the first place.
He's not a skill and finesse player, he's a big body who can skate and power to the net. If he can't do that, he's got no business being in the NHL.

So much spin/BS coming from the Canucks staff lately:
Anton Rodin knee 4-6 weeks "planned from the outset"
Virtanen shoulder
Tryamkin fitness
Larson's performance
On the plus side, Stecher's play did not disappoint last night.

if that's the case...i'd pick him back up for Utica
that was their intention to begin with and they made it clear he'd come back up

if their plan is to send Virtanen down to Utica for some games I would pick up etem in the meantime and play him over guys who aren't doing shit so far. Like magna, skille and gaunce these guys have no offence and are useless.
I agree with 604 that this coaching staff and management are fucking clueless on trying to handle this team! WD is a terrible coach and I am giving all the credit to Jarvis on the wins lol. The pp still shit with all this passing garbage and Larsen is shit cant even hit the net. The only excitement lastnight was stecher he is very noticeable out there and makes plays. Larsen is terrible and he doesn't make any plays and is shit in his own end.

I don't know who thought Larsen would be a solution on D. He couldn't crack an absolutely terrible Edmonton backend a few years ago. Coasted around the Dallas system for 5 years. Big deal, he had one good season in Finland. Doesn't mean he is an NHL player.
-5 in 7 games
With Tanev out for significant time, this isn't going to be pretty.

^he hasn't done shit on the pp, he misses the net everytime he shoots, sucks 5on5, to think pairing him up with sbisa was going to make the 3rd pairing better WD is an idiot. At this point I would give the big Russian Larsen's spot and keep stecher in. Also no clue why they thought keep biega over pedan was good move either. They could have lost pedan for nothing again just to keep beiga who probably wont get in unless more D get injured. Sbisa had a good run of 2 games but has resorted back to serving up pizzas...
