are you on older android, pre-oreo? it might not play nice with Oreo

try plugging phone in first, turn on controller, unlock phone (app should auto open if not open it) , turn on the craft

try with airplane mode on, turn off battery saving features

be cautious if you're using v4.0+ on your P3, I tried v3 something on the mavic and that did not end well

I'll give that a try thanks twitchy

I'm on the latest Android version

DJI has the drone market by the balls
u can get an entry level toy at 100usd
now this mavic air just... goddamnit
theres a drone at every level of pricing for everyone

blkgsr 01-23-2018 10:54 AM

looking at the specs, i'd be expecting a new pro model to be coming out to better the Air completely.

very interested in the air now

ForbiddenX 01-23-2018 11:11 AM

Yea that Air is very interesting. Don't think I need anything more than that.

Haven't really been following the laws, but most of Vancouver is still illegal to fly the drone right?

was hoping for 1" sensor and 4K60 in a foldable package although I'm sure that's coming soon enough...also hoping next year we get 360 avoidance sensor

Mavic2Pro

I wouldn't doubt this

Found this map that shows Canadian aerodromes and areas with surface to ***ft restrictions for UAVs and Recreational Drones. - https://www.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/eng/solut...tion_tool.html

Picked up a Mavic Pro over the holidays.

I feel the drones are a phase.

Before it was a pain in the ass editing, but some of the mid to high end drones comes with self editing software automatically.

After 3 or 4 videos, and all your friends had a great time with it... it just ends up doing nothing; similar to my go-pro .....
the music editing and picking the right music is also needed.

I lol'd on the second one

maybe. but there's a lot of professional use with this stuff to make it worthwhile

I ended up getting an old android cell phone dedicated for drone flying (samsung s5). Well also use it for playing games lol.

For some stupid reason Dji go wouldn't work properly on my new note 8, kept crashing and then shutting off the phone. Also the app drains the fuck out of phone battery, every time I fly, have to force close the app afterwards to prevent unwanted battery draining.

Went out and had some fun in the snow with 320icar's Focus RS
