wouldn't be surprised if they did. however, i don't think it would do as well as the NES.
I put money on it they will release a SNES version and probable a N64 version. From what I understand the hardware in classic is capable of running SNES and N64 emulators.

N64 emulation is on PC,but not worked on 100%....they're is certain games buggy, same with Super Nintendo....8 bit nintendo on the other hand i haven't encountered a game screw up..
I went up to a cute chick and asked her if she'd let me take a photo of her for $30 she slapped me, she said to me that "I AIN'T A WHORE!"
But other than that I have seen every car on display in DTP just by cruising about in Richmond, thank you very much for collecting them together and get someone to sing a cover for "fuck you".
OH FUCK YOU OH OH OOOOH~

i think the problem is most people have SNES,NES, and Genesis games all kind of muddled in their head, so they think they are getting some amazing games of the past with this NES
imo, the NES has a fairly weak library and the vast majority of the games included here do not interest me, or they did until i actually tried to play them again

i should know, i buy random nostalgic shit all the time and i probably would have bought that, and then regretted it, had it been in stock.
Sell a VHS emulator in limited edition with VHS video quality and rewind/fast forward simulator along with movie bundles from the 80s/90s and I bet it'd be just as popular. For an extra $50 get the deluxe edition that takes mini cassettes and purposely jams the ribbon at random points so that you can take it apart and untangle it just like the good ol' days.

After looking for over a month online and in stores, I was finally able to get one online on Dec 20th. I could have bought a raspberry Pi 3 and emulate the games but the NES Classic just looks so cool. I also consider it a home decor item for my tv stand
When you run emulation on your android, pi, PC, etc. you're running emulation software that has a bunch of hacks to get games to run smoothly.
I haven't looked into the coding of the classic yet but in the past (ex: Virtual Console) Nintendo ran these old games without hacks and that's why they play very well.
For fun, try using a few different engines on your android device. They play all slightly differently. Some drop frames to get it to run smooth, some do it very realistically but you end up lagging framerates a bit, some are just buggy.
