I don't know. I'm not great at pictures and just trying to learn about photography so I wouldn't ever be able to do it. I take good ones here and there only. I have a couple more parts coming to really finish the look as well. Anyone who ever wants to shoot the car that knows what they are doing, I'd love them to.

Congrats on your rare pick up. This combo makes an E46 M3 6MT look common :lawl:

M-tech II kit and preface is rare. So that car must be 5MT. Facelift 2004 and above coupes have 6MT.

Awesome. If you need any advice from someone who owned and DIY maintained a 330 for 8 years shoot me a PM. I didn't find the 330 was that high maintenance and it was a joy to own and drive until the day she went to car heaven.

there are a few voluntary recalls on the E46's that are still going on, better swing by dealer to see whats pending or give them a call so they can run the vin.


i know my two old cars both had tail light grounding recall (for sedans) and of course the two front airbags.

theyre both free and might as well get it done.

Did you guys do a cooling system "refresh"? ie. expansion tank, upper/lower rad hose, thermo, water pump, coolant sensor. Or just replace the expansion tank and hoses as those are more prone to failure?

What maintenance items did you service?
Your favourite mods?
How did your car go to car heaven?

Do the whole thing. They will all fail. The water pump bearings will fail and it goes to hell from there.

recommended doing the whole system at once. might as well. parts are actually not that expensive.

a nice weekend DIY thing if you are mechanically handy.

luckily both cars i bought had it done. E46 #1 got rear ended on our second last snow dump. :alone:

I did everything except for thermostat and radiator in mine (should have done thermostat while coolant was drained anyways since its right there). For water pump you're best off going with the new redesigned pump directly from BMW (they're pretty nice, no cheap plastic like the originals).
