I'd bet 1k. They were never that pricey new. Probably $1500. I think they actually still make them. And when I was 16 I was a bit 90s too haha. Well, 2001, but the 90s taste lingered.

Just picked up this kei class JDM from the port. 1992 Autozam AZ-1 (sub-brand of Mazda). Mid-engined turbo + factory gullwing doors. Motor is a 660cc, red-lines at 9k; very peppy. Less than 4,400 made for 3 model years, made by Suzuki; same mechanics as Suzuki Alto Works but not AWD (it's RWD).
