Tampa got fucking fleeced Why can't we ever pull this shit off |
Damn, Juolevi and a 2nd for Drouin could've been a thing. |
It's actually conditional 2nd. If segerchev plays 40 games, picks are exchanged. If not its a straight up 1 for 1 |
Canucks shouldve drafted segerchev to land drouin |
|
doesn't sound like the Habs are done they're actively shopping Galchenyuk according to The Hockey News |
$3.5 million...not bad I thoght it would be in the 4 range. |
thank the hockey gods they didn't sign him to a stupid long contract looks like he'll be a UFA in 2018 as well so if he shits the bed this season we could trade him at the deadline for something |
Dim Jim with a good contract decision? Holy fuck |
don't worry Jmac, there's still plenty of opportunities for JB to fuck up in the next few weeks :troll: guy better not take 5 steps back and fuck up at the draft or sign stupid UFAs |
Hmm galchenyuk + picks for tanev?? Solid trade for the Habs, they're window is slowly closing with price, who I think is 30 or 31. Good trade for Tampa as it opens cap signing room and if sergachev can crack their top 4 he will be an affordable good defencemen for another 2 years. |
wow Habs sign Drouin to a 6 year 33mill deal |
in that case, id expect to see 4.5M-5M for Bo no way he's getting more than JDro pretty good deal for the Habs esp if he can push 70+ pts next season |
Drouin made everyone around him so much better in TB and played mostly with plugs... he was playing with Boyle as his centre most of the time and Boyle got 13 goals in 54 games last year... when Boyle went to the Leafs and didn't have Drouin anymore? No goals in 13 games... He was also the only guy that Kucherov didn't throw under the bus as worthy of playing with from a skill perspective. As much as that whole saga said a lot about Kucherov as a teammate, it also says a lot about Drouin's skill level. |
As much as everyone wants the Canucks to make the same deal for Druin. I think the whole league knew Druin only wanted to go to one place and that's MTL. So why give something up for a player who might pull another "I want a trade". |
Habs have to keep wheeling and dealing they have no centres capable of utilizing the talented wingers they have. Forcing Galchenyuk or Drouin to play 1C won't work they are undersized and not a 2-way force. |
So wonder the other thread was so quiet.... lol. Didn't know this one was made. I'm late to the party :okay: |

^ Look at his faceoff percentage 42.7% last season in the regular season... 32% in the playoffs... fucking ouch. |

We dont have enough good young players to have to worry about either lol |
^ Well most analyst say the trade was a win win for both parties anyway. |
Biggest reason it's a win for Tampa is because they have too many talented forwards. They would have been forced to open up 1 of them to be plucked by Vegas for free. Getting back a blue chip defenseman prospect that is not expansion eligible gives Tampa another slot to hold their core together. Vancouver doesn't have that problem because we don't have enough talent to protect haha. In Canucks case... http://i0.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/...4/futurama.jpg |

For those who might not know why he wear 53: Canuck Bo Horvat has a purpose wearing 53 |
Anything below $6 for Bo would be a good deal now and in a few years. |
Damn, Nathan beaulieu to the Buffalo Sabres for their 2017 3rd pick. And Mike smith to Calgary with I think 25% salary retained for Brandon hickey, chad Johnson and a conditional 3rd round pick |
