No surprise as McDavid wins the Ted Lindsay Award

Ch28 06-21-2017 04:27 PM

Bergeron wins the Selke and ties Bob Gainey for his 4th Selke which is top in NHL history.

Pretty cool that Gainey handed Bergeron the trophy

How do the trades work..? So the teams give additional players in order for VGK to pick certain players?

im sure part of the franchise expansion negotiations was that the team would see, or at least have an avenue to some benefit to the $500m fee they had to pay to join the league.

Minnesota, Columbus, Nashville, and Atlanta paid $80m in 99ish.

I'm looking at the unprotected list for FLA and can't figure out who they were "protecting".

Was it Demers/McKenzie? Someone else? Why would they go to great lengths to throw in player AND pick for LV to pick up Marchessault.

King Clancy Award: Nick Foligno

Bob McKenzie: I'm presuming FLA had to reduce its budget. In order to move Smith's contract, Marchessault had to be used as inducement. A $ deal IMO.

highfive 06-21-2017 04:57 PM

Fuck. Why not Dorsett?

I doubt Tanev is going to be moved anymore after Sbisa is gone. No more No. 3 pick unless benning pull something out of his ass.

Kesler's trade tree basically for Sutter and Gudbranson now

Canucks now literally had a two time Stanley Cup coach and a Jack Adams winner behind the bench 2 years ago.

High expectations for Gully next season

Torts was terrible for the Canucks, doesn't matter what he did/does elsewhere. Also, he's a one-time Stanley Cup coach and a two-time Jack Adams winner.

Jack Adams is basically the coach of the team who exceeded expectations by the most.
