Russell is top heavy, 5, 4.5, 4, 2.5. Fayne and Pouliot comes off the books when you have to sign some of the young guys. But then we still have to sign maroon and he could easily ask for 4+ the way hes going now.

But hey, Chicago did quite well as a cap team for a number of years.

Jmac 06-23-2017 11:57 AM

Russell at $4 wouldn't be bad if it were 1-2 years shorter. Last year of that contract won't be good for sure.

yea, they did well before their top 2 players made 21mil combined.
edm isn't gonna win a cup before their top 2 player make 20mil combined.

Chicago is trying for oshie as well. One of Crawford/Hossa/Seabrook would have to go. Wont work if Hossa is on IR

Washington just went full retard

Ch28 06-23-2017 01:34 PM

Oshie has done quite well in Washington so I can see why they re-signed him

6o4__boi 06-23-2017 01:36 PM

well enough but that term though

would be a great contract if it wasn't for the fact that he's 31

Galenchyuk's agent reporting they are in midst of contract extension talks with the Habs. Might be sign and trade

highfive 06-23-2017 02:36 PM

If Benning goes in and do nothing butkeep our current picks. I would be pretty to get a centre at 5 of Glass, Vilardi, or Petersson.

Use the 2nd rounders to find yourself a defenceman such as a weber, keith, subban, etc.

I forgot where I was reading but they don't mind taking Kostin if he slides down. I wouldn't mind flipping 2 2nd rounders for him.

dbaz 06-23-2017 02:39 PM

All I care about is getting glass, and Salo with the late 2nd or 3rd. Petterson is acceptable if we trade back to 7th or 8th. Should be able to get a good player that dropped from 1st rnd to 2nd with the 33rd

Bouncing Bettys 06-23-2017 02:53 PM

Hoping for the smallest chance Liljegren falls to 17. Lou has been spotted talking to Garth Snow 3 times on the draft floor so who knows what will happen. I'm having to work OT so I will miss it. No getting off early and racing home like last year.
