Usually, the additional 10-15% is applied to all appliances. In addition, stores like Best Buy will offer an appliance set, like washer and dryer, or a kitchen package at a door crasher price. A door crasher price would be 20-25% off the sale price.

I've been following appliance prices for several months as I have replaced our aging appliances one by one. For laundry machines, I don't think you're going to get something lower than $600 each for modern front load machines.

It really depends. Varies from year to year/store to store/model to model.

Start researching now and decide what model you're looking for and the pricing it's at.

Why is everyone so hype about Sony TV? They ok but I find it annoying that their apps don't work. Everytime I try to cast from my ipad to the TV it never works, would keep loading. The only solution is to go to the apps find cast, disable, force stop and then enable again. But I have to do this every single time once I turn the TV off.

Been on their chat support several times and everytime the agent just suggested to do a full recovery but that doesn't help since I have to do through the whole disable, force stop and enable again. When I asked why I have to do this they can never give me an answer or when I ask for a solution they don't have one.

dachinesedude 11-06-2017 08:42 AM

Sony tvs are not hyped, its only specifically the x900e thats good, the other Sony models suck

blkgsr 11-06-2017 10:04 AM

ya the price of the x900e vs the next best tv which looks to be the LG OLED is like $900 cheaper

PuYang 11-06-2017 10:24 AM

Black Friday and Christmas/Boxing Day sales are when I buy a bunch of Blurays!

Tons of decent movies this year that I didn't watch in theaters that I'm thinking of picking up :]

Also want to buy a new gaming keyboard for my laptop to 65" tv set up. Gave my mom my old Razer keyboard and she doesn't want to give it back xD

That's the one thing I've heard about the TV is that the OS (AndroidTV) really lags at times. Even when changing the volume you can experience lag and slowdowns.

I mostly want the TV for the picture quality and from what I've been reading it's the best in this range. I don't really want to shell out the money for an OLED tv just yet and would prefer to get a great TV for < $1500 hopefully (55")

MarkyMark 11-06-2017 10:47 AM

Sony TVs give the best all around picture quality from any kind of source. A lot of the newer TV's only look good when you're watching HD content, Sonys processing upscales lower quality content a lot better.

I got a cheaper model Sony TV SONY XBR55X700D for like $999 a few months ago. When compare to other brand with the specs it seems a decent price at that time. I haven't use the TV much these days........ kinda of feel wasted actually (haven't turn on the TV for almost 3 weeks). If only cast works better I would use a lot more since I also have a Sound bar hook up to it.

I know this is not the same as having your own Blu-Ray discs, but I find that VPL has a very good selection of movies for lending. Since you aren't trying to catch the latest DVD/Blu-Ray releases anyway, there probably isn't a super high demand for the movies.

Saved myself quite a few bucks like this in the past few years.

blkgsr 11-06-2017 01:20 PM

I noticed on visions.ca site right now that their sale price on the x900e is until the 9th...doesn't make sense that they stop the sale BEFORE black friday and not continue something through the weekend.

+1

I find that the library is a great place to borrow DVDs/Blu-Ray and audio CDs if you are not in the business of collecting them. At the very least, it gives me an opportunity to listen to the CD and decide later if I want to purchase a copy for myself.

It's just a weekly sale right now, it's the same price everywhere else atm. Still trying to see if I'll be able to get it for $1299 like some have in the RFD thread.

blkgsr 11-06-2017 07:05 PM

that'd be awesome

i was looking at getting it in the states too. they're like $1000 there

Gh0stRider 11-06-2017 07:26 PM
