And yea if it goes any lower during black friday or boxing day they'd price match.

how'd you get that deal? just ask them for it?

i was going to wait until the 24th and order one online in the states for $999

I went in the first time just looking at the TVs and expressed my interest in purchasing the X900E, they really tried to push the Samsung / LGs since they can lower the prices without fear of Sony's pricing lol.

I called the day after after seeing the teletime deal and talked to the same sales person, said best he would do was 1399. I just went in the following day to see if I could do better in person and managed to get it for 1299 + 5 year warranty. After repeatedly saying I would just order from teletime but would prefer to support/buy it locally first.

Not sure if I trust that brand. Wen I was getting my TV you can clearly tell difference between those $500 TV vs $1000 TV.

RCA is trash

What are thoughts surrounding Vizio TVs?

i purchased a vizio p55 last year at costco for around 1200 (i think) and i purchased an additional 5 year warrenty.

I'm completely happy with the purchase, no problems what so ever

Nabatron 11-12-2017 02:44 PM

Bought their 70" off Amazon about 1.5 years ago. I like it. No issues what so ever.

Simplex123 11-12-2017 03:28 PM

They're good at for their price, during the most of the year. But when it comes to Black Friday/Boxing Day when the prices for Samsung/LG come way down, I wouldn't take it over the latter as the prices come quite close to each other since there's not much margin on Vizio TVs.

SiRV 11-12-2017 03:53 PM

Awesome!
Depending on which month I buy a house... I Guess I'll go with the Vizio 70'' if I'm no where near Black Friday/Boxing Day

Razor Ramon HG 11-12-2017 04:07 PM

Some of Vizio's televisions such as the M/P series have some of the best reviews for picture quality for the dollar on Rtings.

frost91 11-12-2017 04:14 PM

If you are going to buy a vizio tv, i would def recommend the P model.

one thing to note is, it's a very good tv if you are looking at the screen straight on, at an angle there will be some glare.

i read a lot of reviews on rtings before i purchased

HTH

Which bestbuy did you go to? I'm looking at those 2 models too. Side by side would be a nice comparison.

blkgsr 11-12-2017 05:35 PM

bellingham

so much cheaper down there too even with the conversion

the x900e is going to be $999 for the 55" and i think $1599 for the 65" during black friday.

Anyone know of any deals for the PS4 Pro? Best I've been able to find was the $299 USD on Amazon.

costco.com has some BF deals for PS4, I saw the slim bundle for $199 USD. Don't recall if there are any deals for the Pro but worth taking a look.

rebranded TCL...so it can't be too bad
that said I would take a smaller-sized from a more established brand...probably a massive PITA throwing away a 75" TV

Ludepower 11-16-2017 11:25 PM

If u guys wanna futureproof your TV. Might as well splurge on OLED. Prices are reasonable when they go on sale.

MarkyMark 11-17-2017 05:52 AM

Nothing about OLED really future proofs your TV. As long as your TV is 4k and supports the majority of HDR formats it's about as future proofed as you can get.

prices arent quite there yet to justify it imo.

for 1400-3000 you're getting the top model full array LED, for that price you're only getting mid to entry level OLED, i'll take the higher model over the tech for now.

MarkyMark 11-17-2017 06:44 AM

Pretty much every OLED TV is high end right now. For LG all their panels are the same throughout each model, the only difference is the sound quality and design.
