I've seen those kind of red-on-white dealer/demonstrator plates before. Aren't you allowed to drive an LHD vehicle in HK (at least, temporarily) if it has one of those plates? Something to do with cars that are for sale/export outside of HK. The only other way I think you can drive an LHD car in HK is if it's registered in PRC, and has those crossborder Guangdong/HK plate combos.

Finally got out to get a pic. Car has been running for a week now, it was out of commission for 1 month and a week (felt like forever). New tailights look great, I'm still not completely sold on the trunk lights, but overall I'm pretty satisfied. I did end up getting new kidney grilles, so it doesn't look as ghetto anymore.

2018 plans: short shift kit / shifter refresh kit, Bilstein B14s + suspension refresh, new bumper + splitter (?)
