But still, past 7am you cant bitch about noise. If you want quiet at 830am, live somewhere with less people where you can own large amounts of land. Like...Maple Ridge lol. | I think 2. We have a 2 year old too. He goes to bed at 8 and is up by 7

8:30am?
Isn't everyone at work or on their way to work at that time?
The new neighbours have a diesel truck and the entire neighbourhood hears it when he starts it up at 7am, every day.... lol

I wonder what my neighbors thought when I had a catless front pipe and aftermarket exhaust on the brz. I was working at 6:30am back then and I think my neighbor ended up going to work the same time I did instead LOL.
Needless to say I'm sure their prayers were answered when it changed.

I would assume there is more to it than you know. At least, I'd hope so. Maybe your wife is being a cunt to her when you're gone or something, lol. Doesn't compute to me that someone would do that just for noise at 8:30am.

We have only met and talked twice (edit: actually three times. The third time she came with her mom with a gift to apologize) and both regarding the exhaust sounds. Basically I told her there's nothing I can to improve it since we need to drive my kid to school.
Prior to the window event, our car was also keyed few weeks ago while parked by our garage. As well we had city bylaw officer came to visit as we had noise complaints against us. But they were unreasonable complaints, however it was the officer's duty to inform us. (Edit: Bylaw officer agreed those complaints are unreasonable) )Basically our life has been disturbed by all these.

Now that it's in the hands of the Justice system, just stay away from interacting with them. Document any interactions your family has with the neighbor to protect yourselves. If she was disturbed enough to break your window, she's liable to start saying you're harassing/intimidating her about the incident.
Outside of any further direct issues happening, I'd be wary about the possibility that the neighbor tries to sue/make a case you're harassing her and start civil actions against you.

She despise you so much she threw a rock.
Even during the late evening shes thinking about you lol
In this situation you cant really do much about at. The more you add into the fire, the more she will retaliate back.
For your kid, I would just tell them that its a old lady whos creating all these mess so they wouldn't be scared thinking about that "bad guy".

We told the City about the incident. They will keep an note and validate future complaints, if it’s from the same complainant.
We are stating the facts (she threw rock and the interactions we had with her) so would it make a case of harassing?
She is not allowed to contact us as a condition for the release.

Are there any other reasons she threw the rock?
Evidently the picture is worth a thousand words but its still hard to believe that someone would throw a rock because you drove to work at 08:30 in the morning.
Have you had bad interactions with your neighbor prior? Just curious.
Thanks for sharing.

She is not allowed to contact us as a condition for the release. | She might play it up that way. Who knows. Just make sure you document if she tries to talk to you, asking to to withdraw the complaint etc.
When my dad was in a car accident and we called the other driver by accident twice, instead of the witness. In court, they accused us of harassing them.

Just a little update
The neighbor was off the hook and was given alternative measure with no criminal charge. And today again she came onto my property and started taking pictures of my camera and I felt that was a form of harassment since her order of not having any contact with us or near our property is no longer valid. Therefore I called the police again and they went to her and wanted to have her a warning. Then she came back saying that's because she would like to get the same camera as us..
Not only that, whenever I'm in the garage working on the car, she would stand right in front of her window just watching me for as long as I was there.
Just so frustrated that justice system can't do anything for us...i guess with this case, bad guy 1, good guy 0
Thanks for the rant

Well if it keeps going, get a restraining order against her ass. I dont think she's "won" by any stretch of the imagination. The stupid bitch almost got criminal charges brought against her (maybe she already does, who knows) and she'll think twice about doing stupid shit like that again.
Let her stare. Id stare right back at her and then blip the throttle a few times for luls.

Install more hidden cams around your property. I have a feeling is she trying to see the area your cam would record and will try to avoid it next time to comes to your property.
Only if you try to make this into a bigger case she wouldn't be off the hook but lesson learn. Next time if she does it again make the case as big as possible. The justice system here sucks unless something serious happens (lE she have cause major stress and you have to prof it) otherwise nothing gets done.

I thought I resolved this by doing the right thing, which was to let police handled the case. But even police said justice failed on this one.
I always tell my son if someone throws a rock at you, tell the teacher and they will get their consequences. But I guess I need to change to..if someone throws a rock at you, just throw back and you'll be fine.

Police are useless when it comes to doing there job, they should have locked up the b!tch even if it was for few hours.

How is it the police’s fault that the legal system has precedents, people have rights and we operate on an innocent until proven guilty basis? Would you suggest that they randomly enact discretionary measures on anyone's whim and detain people without due process or just cause?
I think not.
