It's your reality not everyone else's, you choose to see it that way. I don't know any girls who carry pepper spray, you're fucking paranoid buddy. We live in Canada, so yes there IS an expectation that you won't get attacked randomly. And yes at least one time when my dog got attacked I had no choice but to pull back and up on her leash while at the same time kicking the other dog in the side of the head. I can't blame this particular owner for not doing everything "right" and neither should you. Holy fuck you're such an asshole.
I feel sorry for the people living around you that you think you have to prepare for a holocaust on the daily... but thank goodness you're a trained emergency response personnel that has already envisioned everything that could ever go wrong in the world so you'll be ready for everything!!!! LOL!
If you know what I did for work, there's no way you'd be lecturing me on being prepared for shit or knowing how to respond to situations... I've probably spent more time in 1 day learning form experts in the field than you have in your whole life of YouTube assisted learning... you're a pretender wanna-be and haven't done fuck all in your life except talk shit about how you'll be so great at handling everything when something goes down.
That's probably because you don't know ANY girls? If you let your daughter or any girl who can't drive and has to walk home at night for any reason, without some sort of weapon in their purse, you're truly a fucking idiot.
I could careless what you do in your personal time and work space. You still sound like a clueless fucking moron. The difference between me and you is that, I observe, I think, and I advance. You? You observe, you blame, whine and dwell in the past. That's why society is getting dumber with people like you.

LOL you do realize there are girls who are doing this everyday right? You know some people just to take skytrain after works coz they can't afford a car or for whatever reason. I personal know a few of them and always message them to be careful. Even walked a few of them home a few times if they happen to asked.
You sure a dumber Trump and that's almost impossible to reach.
I kinda agree in that lifting the dog up was he wrong thing to do.
Just get in between the dogs, stick your leg/body out and grab the collar and separate them. Imo guy who had the dog killed seems like first time dog owner

I say ban the breed. Good owners or not, the breed itself is high risk and inherently aggressive as it was once bred for that trait. It's like taming a lion and have it grow up with humans and then when it attacks one for whatever reason, "nah, it was just bad owners, has nothing to do with it being a lion". rofl.

I disagree with this. Any dog can be tamed, it just depends on the trainer. I know lots of people with Pit Bulls or similar "aggressive(to the public)" who are amazing dogs and the most friendliest and caring animals. In turn it all comes down to the training and how much training gets done. Understanding the background of an animal also helps as different breeds have different learning methods. You can take a super aggressive dog and change its habits. I did to mine. Although he isn't perfect, he actually smiles when hes happy which is daily vs. when the first few months I got him he didn't even know how to be happy, always worried and timid. I got mine when he was 2 and now hes 7, and I'm still training him. Its like your personal life you don't just stop learning. But the average dog owner stops when they are comfortable with the level of training they've given their pets. Which is basically your typical commands, Sit, stay, come. My dog knows at least 15 commands.

Video: Pitbull got lunged at by the other dog, defends itself... "BAN PITBULLS".
1) But Kaslo’s owner also partially blamed Max’s owners for their dog’s injuries.
"He [Tabari] had a little rope harness on the dog that's probably what made the internal bleeding," Newman said
2) Max’s owners also told CTV that after the altercation, Newman and a female companion walked off without exchanging information.
Newman disputed that.
“We were there for at least 10 minutes," he said. "I tried to give my information. I tried to get him to call the cops.”
The surveillance video shows Newman and his companion leaving with Kaslo roughly a minute after the attack. Max and his owners remained at the scene another couple of minutes, while several witnesses stopped to help

For one, why are you quoting my reply that wasn't to you?
And two, why are you trying to drive the topic away?
It's funny how you're insulting me when I have done none to you... if you're drama hungry, get it somewhere else please. None here for you.

I can guarantee you, the internal bleeding was from the pitbull tearing the dog out of mid air. Did the harness played a part in the injury? Most certainly.

Honestly man, if it was the harness or whatever it was, so be it. You seem to be really caught up in something that doesn't matter a whole lot anyway. What's done is done, and it's not my dog. As insensitive it sounds, it really has no impact on my life. But what pisses me off is that this sack of shit ran away like a child instead of being an adult and dealing with it. Which is the reason for the "witch hunt" that you like to speak of. You can play armchair veterinarian all day for all I care, but don't defend this lowlife.
If someone did a hit and run on my car - let alone KILLED a pet that was part of my family - and was not even man enough to admit it to my face where it can be dealt with like adults, I would want a "witch hunt" too so that they can be brought to justice. But according to your logic, the Dashcam Thread on RS is just a bunch of witch hunters. Do you really think Mr. 1987 would have come forward if there was no photo and video of his idiocy?

Let's ban all cars over 300hp while we're at it. Good drivers or not they are way too fast for any street driving and all they do is cause accidents.
Im terrified of a pit bull or larger breed biting my chihuahuas but I also know that most dog bites are usually done by smaller breeds. So don't ban pitbulls. Ban idiot owners. Every owner should have to go through a screening before obtaining an animal license.
Some people should not have dogs or any pets period. They are not just toys, they are living members of your family and if you cannot provide adequate shelter/food/training for that member of your family then you shouldn't be allowed to have one.

Did you even read what G0rilla posted? That Newman's statement said he was there for at least 10 min. On top of that, what would posting the picture of the dude benefit us? I bet if ya'll saw the dude on the street, you wouldn't do fuck all anyways. If it's something you can't deal with, why does it matter to you? Leave it up to the police.
And why would it not matter on how the dog was injured or handled during the attack? It's these situation where I like to take the opportunity to discuss on what I would do, how it was handled, etc. and perhaps share knowledge with each other. If you don't feel like learning from it, that's your choice, but don't go telling others not to.
Simply put, if you don't have an opinion or anything to share on the situation, you don't have to respond to my post.

Maybe his picture benefits us the same way that Americas Most Wanted, RCMP, FBI, and just about every police force in the world put up wanted posters or how local newspapers and tv channels put up pictures of child molesters and violent criminals who don't report back to their halfway houses. If you see this person, call the cops. Do not approach and don't be a hero and think you'll save the day...just call the cops.
Take your own advice. You took the opportunity to say what you would do and how you think it was handled and you shared your knowledge with all of us. We took the time to read it and if we choose not to listen to your babbling about how the animal kingdom works, then so be it. We've all got opinions and I know this might be hard to understand... but not everyone has the same view point as you. If that upsets you and makes you mad then you're probably going to have a rough time in life.
After reading all your pet handling advice this is all that comes to mind.
Am I missing something here? CTV interviewed this guy. He's not a wanted fugitive

Ok, can OP take the picture of that dude off of this post? If you're gonna post his picture up, at least don't try to encourage people to witch hunt him down.
For one, yes, this is a very unfortunate and sad incident. And for two, it's also shitty that the dude just walked away.
Furthermore, I can't believe nobody investigated the video further before started pointing fingers. It clearly showed in the video that the dog that died lunged at the other dog first. And also, the owner of the dog that died... WHY IN THE FUCK DID HE LIFT HIS DOG UP ON THE LEASH LIKE THAT? HOW FUCKING STUPID IS THAT? I don't care if he was afraid that his dog will get injured in a dog fight, you don't fucking strangle your dog like that, EVER. If you watch carefully, all the other dog did was bit the dog, which is natural for any dog to do in a defensive mode. However, if the owner didn't lift his dog up like that, his dog could have defended himself better AND HE HIMSELF COULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO BREAK UP THE FIGHT.
It's so fucking sad and completely breaks my heart to watch the owner hinder his dog defenseless by doing that. And I can certainly say, the reason his dog died was because he lifted his dog up like that and allow the other dog to tear it from him. Had he just left him on the ground and try to break the fight, his dog could have defended and worse case scenario, would suffer bite injuries.
Imagine fighting some dude 1 on 1 and somebody behind you has a leash on you and hangs you into the air. I can't even comprehend, even at the lowest of the low IQ, why the owner would do that.
