i thought the princess bride was always some sappy girl movie (probably mistaking it for father of the bride) until my old boss was like 'you haven't seen it before????'
then i watched it, such a great movie with memes spawning from it.
The US economy lost 105,000 jobs in October and added 64,000 jobs in November, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Tuesday. The unemployment rate rose to a four-year high of 4.6% last month.
• Almost all economic reports from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Census Bureau have been delayed due to the historically long federal shutdown, which hamstrung data collection.
• The October report now marks the first time in almost eight decades that a monthly snapshot has not included the unemployment rate.
• The Census Bureau also reported October retail sales remained flat, the lowest reading in five months.
Does Cheeto really think that the GOP will win the next mid term elections in November 2026 if the U.S. unemployment rate keeps going up?
He's been sleeping too much during meetings.

In a normal world, voters should be dumping the GOP en masse in the upcoming midterms.
That said, with the Democrats being as thoroughly useless, unfocused, and disorganized as they have been, I don't really have any high hopes to see them coming out swinging. (Maybe swing and a miss would be more like it.)
On top of that, when you add the stupidity of Trump's hardcore base, I really don't have any high hopes for things to turn around enough to course correct. That is to say, I am definitely expecting the Democrats to find some gains. But will those gains be enough to regain control of the House / Senate? I am skeptical of that, and I have no expectations on anything meaningful.

I'm also not seeing the Dems use these 4 yrs to shape a candidate for President for the next election. You'd think that would be one of their #1 goals. Who is emerging? Newsome? Need a Democratic centrist.

He has his speech ready for this reality
Trump calls affordability crisis a 'hoax.' The data tells a different story
Tonnes of damage control happening today with this Vanity Fair story. Trump Chief of Staff cuts looses and rips everyone on the team including saying that Trump has an alcoholic's personality.
For those who can't access the article, here's some summaries:
Vance or Rubio as the next GOP presidential candidate, with Vance being the more likely choice...
Great. That's exactly just what the World needs.

Rubio has never successfully won the primary for president, he's unlikable, and considered a phony bastard, that stench will never wash off.
Vance to a lesser extent since he hasn't hovered around as long, but again, he's considered a complete phony and a fraud, inauthentic.
Neither have Trump's charisma, and as much as I hate Trump, no one can argue he isn't authentically himself, something the two above bastards can't attest to.
I hope these choose either or, both will lose resoundingly.

Rubio is way too ethnic of a candidate. Vance yes, probably the only one that has a shot at a republican nomination.
But Vance has a Hindu wife who will not convert even if he says he wants her to in public.
Anyone remember youtuber Casey Putsch. We was on vinwiki until he had a falling out. Well he is now Maga and America first and running to be governor of Ohio. He is going up against Vivek Ramaswamy as a republican. Edit: just watched one of his video's and he has gone off the deep end.
TIFFIN, Ohio — Casey Putsch, a Tiffin native and automotive industry entrepreneur, has announced his candidacy for Ohio governor, entering the Republican primary against Vivek Ramaswamy.
Putsch, founder of the Genius Garage charity, launched his campaign Tuesday with a message aimed at Republican voters seeking an "America First" alternative. He criticized Ramaswamy for what he described as a failure to represent working-class Ohioans and called for a stronger stance on immigration and economic policy.
“I am proud to announce my run for governor,” Putsch said. “My campaign fills a clear and urgent need for an alternative in this race. Republicans across Ohio are looking for a candidate who respects the working class and upholds American cultural values, not one who shows contempt for them. I intend to put the issues that threaten our communities, opportunities, and way of life front and center.”
He added that issues such as immigration, H1B visa policies, and what he labeled as "failed neoliberal policies" are eroding hope for many in the state.

Divorcing his Indian wife would be bad publicity and possibly a career-ending move for him in politics. He likely has a blonde bimbo on the side already and the Indian wife is just for publicity.

I don't know how Ohio works but is Casey running against Vivek for the republican nomination? Right now Vikek is tied with the democrat with 9% undecided. If Vivek loses it's because he is Hindu.
Vivek with an opinion peace released today in the NY times called what is an American. It's about racism.
