I heard the law prof who made the argument lost to her in the election for the CA attorney general race, so he's probably still salty |

ppl are too extreme now, on both ends of the spectrum They should be voting thru their phones, it'd be a lot safer than the mail |
Trump should just cancel the election and stay president year by year until they solve Coronavirus SeemsGood |

trump and his family have a history of voting by mail.. but when other people do it it's potential fraud. |

Besides, Trump is purposely nerfing the Postal Service, which is only exacerbating the entire issue here. They should allow people to drop off their ballots directly at a setup postage office or drop center of some point as well, if they don't already. The problem is that elections are administered and handled different from state to state by their elected party. Unlike here in Canada where it's handled by an independent body, Elections Canada. It's an unbelievably corrupt system. This will be the most contested election in history. By the way, the birtherism comments about Kamala, Jesus, the dog whistling continues. |
Wow, another business run by trump not doing well. I am shocked!!! :eek3: |
Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas. Weird coincidence :considered: |
If Trump somehow manages to fuck up the election enough to either make it unclear who wins, or keep himself in the Whitehouse, or outright win, I think there is going to be a violent uprising that will make June's protests look like a picnic. |
Holy fuck the US has gone full Third World now. United Nations needs to start sending in Election Monitors now to ensure a free election lol. /s ....or not? |
I could believe it.. When I used to sell stuff on eBay, about 15% of the stuff I send to the US never makes it to the buyer. Either USPS failed to deliver or the buyer is BSing me but I find it hard to believe 15% of my buyers were out to scam me. |

USPS always had a horrible reputation, but for me, I always preferred having usps deliver my orders cuz it meant canadapost would handle em once in Canada, and I've always preferred their handling over say fedex/ups |

God bless our Canada Post and Healthcare. What a truly fucked up country down there. |
and also the fact that we never have any major controversy over voter fraud or suppression... maybe minus the robocall scandal, which seems like fuck all now compared to the shit that happens in the states during every election (looking at you florida) |
For all those trump fans who were upset about omar khadr. This guy killed 3 Australians in Afghanistan is about to go free. https://www.smh.com.au/politics/fede...10-p55ka6.html Quote:

Unlike some other countries, New Zealand has no fixed election-date for general elections, but rather the Prime Minister determines the timing of general elections by advising the Governor-General when to issue the writs for a general election. The Constitution Act 1986 requires new parliamentary elections every three years, unless a major crisis arises or the Prime Minister loses the ability to command a majority in parliament.[11] The 1910s, 1930s and 1940s saw three elections delayed due to World War I, the Great Depression and World War II, respectively: the 1919, 1935 and 1943 elections would otherwise have taken place in 1917, 1934 and 1941 (Parliaments passed Acts extending their terms). The US has a fixed election date. The Twentieth Amendment (Amendment XX) to the United States Constitution moved the beginning and ending of the terms of the president and vice president from March 4 to January 20, and of members of Congress from March 4 to January 3. It also has provisions that determine what is to be done when there is no president-elect. The Twentieth Amendment was adopted on January 23, 1933.[1] The amendment was designed largely to limit the "lame duck" period, when members of Congress and the president served their terms after an election but without being re-elected. By having congressional terms begin before presidential terms, the amendment results in the incoming Congress, rather than the outgoing one, holding a contingent election in the event the Electoral College deadlocks regarding either the presidential election or the vice presidential election. The amendment also establishes procedures in the case that a president-elect dies, is not chosen, or otherwise fails to qualify prior to the start of a new presidential term. |
