Speed did a livestream for about 5.5 hours in five Chinese cities. Chongqing, Chengdu, , Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong.

He's a white New Yorker who speaks pretty good Mandarin and passable Russian, but even then he was detained by Russian border guards while travelling near the Chinese border. His vid titles are pretty provocative but if you watch his videos they're actually pretty sympathetic to China.
I guess what I wanted to say was even in these shitty 4th tier towns in China looks relatively decent and clean now. I haven't been to Mainland China in almost a decade but even then it was pretty dirty back even in parts of BJ I'd be surprised to see what they look like now
