It's true that blackbox prices may not always be the absolute cheapest but in my dealings with them over the years they are a highly rated local shop and the ability to deal with them locally should something happen over the difference of just $10 is a no brainer. Alex and his staff have always been fantastic. No I don't work for them but I have bought 2 cameras from them before + 1 install for a front and rear 2 channel.

Acura604 11-20-2018 07:23 AM

bestbuy will have the thinkware 2 ch on sale for $199

https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product...12514235.aspx?

but... 720p rear... blech

twitchyzero 11-20-2018 07:32 AM

if it can make out the make and color of the car for rear channel, that's good enough for me

hopefully the front ch is good enough to capture the license plate

I think one plus is $100 off. Otherwise if you can find someone else to buy the buy 1 get one 50% pixel 3 sale is as solid as a new phone sale can get.

SSM_DC5 11-20-2018 09:14 AM

This Friday, Bestbuy is going to sell 128gb microSD Samsung evo plus for $35. If I recall correctly, normally 128gb cards are over $40. Can anyone confirm if this is a good deal?

underscore 11-20-2018 10:53 AM

Just a heads up, at my local Best Buy they told me they're only holding items that were "reserve in store" for that day, not 24 hours like the site says. I'm not sure if the whole chain is doing that but it's something to keep in mind.

Starting Thursday Nov 22, Pixel3 is 200 off, and 250 off XL. (unlocked / Google Store).

I'm probably gonna pick one up unless I can find a good sale for a phone+dataplan (my current plan isn't very good. Not a contract though).

Thanks guys! Another question is if it says 16GB SD Card in the title of the item for example. Could I put let say a 64GB or higher?

pretty sure thats the memory card that they are including. You should check the actual specs of what the max allowed is

64gig at full res with both front and rears being recorded will yield maybe half a day of footage before it recycles.... go 128 gig .

Is there a certain type of micro sd card I have to buy for all? I'm planning to have it run all day

yameen 11-20-2018 12:55 PM

last time i bought a tv was 10+ years ago. between sharp, samsung, and toshiba, which brand is better in the industry right now? and i'm planning to get a 50-55" smart tv. should it matter if it's tizen, roku, or fire tv? sorry if the questions are rhetorical.

don't cheap out. if it's constantly recording over itself then you want a good one because of wear and tear.

edit:

i just learned that you need to completely format it every few months

The sharp name was sold to a Chinese company in north America. I think Toshiba is pretty much dead. The big brands right now are Samsung, LG, Sony, and Vizio. May have misses one or 2 brands. For the best PQ you want a oled. LG seams to be really popular. For the best bang for the buck go Vizio. They make some really good TV's.

I have tried the following: (blackvue 650S)

Sandisk - FAIL
Samsung 128gig EVO PLUS 100mb/sec - after 6 months, card corruption
Lexar 64gig 633X - after a little over a year of continuous writes, corruption.
ADATA 32gig - works when needed (used as a backup)
Blackvue 16gig - too small but works as needed
Kingston 128gig - FAIL

Eh, my main thing was, its not really a sale. Just convenience, UNLESS they're doing half price on installation then I'd say killer deal.

Sharp and Toshiba are garbage, they are irrelevent in the TV game.

look to stretch your budget into an OLED if you can. If you cant, Sony/Samsung/Vizio as mentioned, and buy 4k. 4k is the standard these days and its stupid at these price points not to get into it.
