I have no idea why people on this forum continue to attempt to debate him, it's a complete waste of your time and effort. You are arguing with a wall. The second amendment reads the following: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Notice the bolded "regulated", there is nothing regulated at this point in terms of the right to bear arms. Either way, this whole argument is boring and tired. The fact that people are still clinging to a document written in 1791... read that again...1791. A time when guns were essentially muskets, bolt action, single slug, with a firing rate of roughly 3 bullets per minute. Let that sink in. This guy was packing a Glock with an extended clip, such a weapon would never have been conceived by these "founding fathers". Just because something is written hundreds of years ago does not mean it should be set in stone, nor does it mean that the document is infallible. To me, this is an elementary argument, that makes simple common sense. I will never understand this obsession with the Second Amendment, it's truly bizarre to me, but hey, clinging to the Bible is also bizarre to me as well, both seem to come hand and hand with some of these folks. Do you guys remember when we were kids, and a mass shooting was such a big deal? That was literally in our lifetime. Mass shootings were a hot topic when they would occur, nowadays the story is over by literally the next day. As much as people want to argue in this thread, namely Welfare's ignorant ass, does anyone not find this whole state of times jarring? We're not even talking about the Vegas shooting anymore, the synagogue shooting, an actual hate crime happened only a week ago, but we've moved on. I'm finding myself having a tough time even caring about these shootings anymore, as a society that's scary to me, we've normalized these attacks as part of American culture. That's simply not healthy, and does not bode well for the future of their country. There was a time when I wished I was American, I always wanted to live in that country, those days are definitely over. I have learned to appreciate being Canadian all the more in times like these. |

New rule. Be respectful and its reciprocated. If not, take a verbal shitpumping. Simple right? Unfortunately, a VERY SELECT FEW here have Already lost that privilege by me. Now carry on with the "debate". I'm sure there's lots to say that hasn't been said in the twenty or thirty other shooting threads. |
