I voted Conservative but I don't mind Carney. I wanted a Conservative Prime Minister and we got one... lol... he's slowly turning the Liberal party into the Progressive Conservatives

Weren't there a couple of pages of RS posting their quiz results prior to last election, and everybody just wound up being a filthy centrist? That was super anti-climactic

So it sounds like it came down to a fight over how racist the party should be and Dallas lost as she wanted some super racist guy to be fired and the party said no (not sure if Dallas felt he wasn't racist enough or that he was the wrong kind of racist).

It's all hilarious though especially as the dude's name is so not white.

This whole OneBC thing is nuts - I really can't tell if this is about not being racist enough or about being the wrong kind of racist and the main actor is some brown guy who allegedly wants to deport brown people.

The screenshots include a post showing someone at the White House holding a copy of a text by “Bronze Age Pervert,” an author popular in some far-right circles, who has written favourably about selective breeding of humans.

Wyatt Claypool, who Brodie appointed as her chief of staff before her removal as leader, said on social media that the person Brodie wanted fired is a communications staffer and “a nutcase who loves racist philosophers” including “Bronze Age Pervert.”

The screenshot of the online figure’s posts also show them discussing who should be removed from the United States, saying that they would be “OK” with the removal of anyone “who wasn’t here pre-Civil War,” while arguing that Arab people are white and not “anywhere genetically similar” to Indian people.

Interesting you mention this. I worked with (past tense) an Indian guy who feels the same way about Indians in Canada. He now lives in Calgary and I suspect (emphasis on suspect) he might be involved in this movement someway, somehow.

One trick pony. When everyone took issue with Trudeau it was easy to look good by criticizing him, but when it’s carney no one has those strong feelings except for the ones who aren’t smart enough to differentiate current liberal platforms from prior, because they just think “ohhh librul bad!”

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but probably once a week I see someone who actually invested in changing over to F*CK CARNEY stickers on their car driving around Calgary.

So far it's been exclusively old rusty Rams/Silverados/F-150s or a super dilapidated 90's CRV or Ford Escape type vehicle.

This is something I've noticed a lot, and have been wondering this to myself.

What is up with these brown guys that seem to be carrying the torch of white nationalist ideologies?

They're in the Trump admin, they run rightwing/conservative bot accounts, they're within the rightwing parties in Canada, and even anecdotally, I find most brown guys I ran into seem to parrot hardcore conservative/red pill anti-progressive ideas, and these are Canadian born guys, not just FOBs.

It's jarring to watch these guys fall over themselves to be accepted by whitey, meanwhile they're hated by these same people they're dying to be accepted by.

It's utterly bizarre.

I do think they are feeling the heat that they may not have been a decade ago. There are a lot of old immigrant/first gen Canadians from India that probably weren’t the target of anti immigrant racism, or a least not such a popular target for quite a while.
They are watching the new immigrants be blamed for unravelling that progress. I’d obviously blame the racists, but that’s not the easy route. That said there are plenty of new immigrants bringing some unenjoyable characteristics with them, but it’s not fair to judge Harpreet who’s working 2 fast food jobs to support his family for the actions of harpreet who’s participating in extortion of EI businesses. But people are too ignorant to differentiate.

I have been told (by said Indian guy) that it's often a strategy used to shift public perspectives and ideology to adopt conservative politics and it allows them (Hindu Indians) to blend in and slowly grow their influence to ouster other Indians (i.e. Punjabis, Indian Muslims etc.) Whether there is any truth to this is unclear to me. There is a large support base of Conservatives in suburbs like Brampton and is it by chance that they are Hindu Indian?

There is another theory (again, by same Indian guy) where the hatred is spread on social media channels to generate profits and donations as a means to generate income. Ethics and morals aside, some people have profiteered on the hate and right-wing ideology, so for them, they use their programming skills to their abilities to generate income for themselves while everyone else gets riled up.

I am not sure how true any of this is and there is no publicly available evidence to support this. Take all of this with a grain of salt and not the truth.

If it means anything, I haven't heard from said Indian guy in months so I'm not sure if he's dead or alive but towards his exit from work and since moving to Calgary, I felt something was off. (No offense to anyone who lives in Calgary.)

Canada just had its biggest population decline on record apparently? Mostly due to Visas not being renewed and changes to TFW program.
I’m interested to see how this plays out in terms of the job market. Unemployment is high right now. Will Canadians take the jobs they were mad at immigrants for taking? Or will we have historic vacancies in relation to high unemployment coming up soon.
I’m not against the changes to the TFW policy even though you’d probably expect me to be, although it’s because I only saw it being used as a tool for cheap labour for shitty employers, not a positive for new immigrants.
