I'm sure they look at BC and think the same thing of us lol. Maybe a more centered Conservative govt will actually do some good around here but I still have my doubts considering how ridiculous those who are further to the right are. NDP has definitely dropped the ball on a lot of issues. I suppose not allowing Rustad to take control will be the NDP's legacy moment for the decade.

Canada cannot depend on NASA anymore for launching satellites or military assets into space. We are getting a space port in Canso, Nova Scotia.

Driven by the escalating militarization of space and the vulnerabilities of relying on foreign launch providers, the Department of National Defence (DND) has laid out a dual-track strategy to secure the country’s orbital autonomy. Beyond the Maritime Launch Services agreement, Ottawa is injecting an initial $24.9 million into three domestic aerospace startups—NordSpace, Canada Rocket Company (CRC), and Reaction Dynamics (RDX). “Space is fundamental to modern military operations. The Canadian Armed Forces rely on space-enabled capabilities for everything from communications and navigation to awareness of the operating environment. Strengthening Canada’s ability to operate in space will help ensure we continue to build the warfighting capabilities needed to defend Canada and contribute to allied operations in an increasingly complex security environment.” – General Jennie Carignan, Chief of the Defence Staff

Normally they can only allocate 30% to non EU members, but Carney negotiated us into SAFE, allowing access to 80% of the $150B SAFE fund
