I mean if we lived in AB or ON, or anywhere else in Canada, it'd be what ... $1.65/litre.

Gas prices in Metro Vancouver rose to more than $2 per litre Sunday as the U.S.-Israel war against Iran continues to impact fuel supply.

Prices in Vancouver hovered around 202.9 cents per litre Sunday, with some variation depending on location.

Online gas price prediction site gaswizard.ca anticipates no change in prices on Monday.

The war has effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz, a passageway through which nearly one fifth of the world’s oil supply normally travels, sending global prices soaring.

In Vancouver, average prices have been steadily rising over the past several days—jumping nearly 20 cents per litre since Thursday.

The last time prices were above $2 per litre was in May of 2024, according to gasbuddy.com.
