They're not gonna release the two Michael's, not for sometime yet I imagine (because as China wants you to believe, their arrests have nothing to do with meng)
I would have thought this but surprise surprise ... the 2 Michaels are released and on a flight back ... they can wave to Meng over the Pacific Ocean somewhere.
^ if you don't think Canada bent over and took it up the arse and got played for this one ... you're in a different world. Oh wait, you are ... in HK.
Canada had two choices in this situation... Arrest Meng for extradition, or break their extradition treaty with the US.
That's all I will say (and all that should need to be said) because otherwise we're just going to go back and forth being mean to each other (which you're already doing anyway)

Canada was fucked, but had no choice. It's like when you were kids and your buddy started a fight you knew you'd lose but had to jump in anyways.
edit: after reading what twitchy posted, it's a good reminder how often we all have opinions of things and really have no fucking clue what we are talking about. I definitely wouldn't have been as upset about a Canadian rotting in a foreign prison if he was homies with a dictator.

^You know we didn't release her on our own accord right? She was released because the charges are being dropped by the US.
There were "agreements" made where she pleads not guilty and she has to abide to certain things. We don't know what they are but 100% those have to do with why they dropped the charges.

Should really consider cutting stuff out with China, start requiring crazy visas for everyone coming here and restricting time spent, make it hard for PR status... I'm not a nationalist by any stretch of the imagination but that country is on a dangerous trend and doesn't deserve easy access to any first world countries anymore.
