So CCP has decided to make Meng a living martyr. Wasn't what I was expecting, and wasn't what I would have done if I were the baus, but I can't say I am surprised either.
Another thing to bear in mind is -- it's irrelevant whether those people actually worship her or not. When the order comes down from the party director (from CCP, who is embedded into every major company in China) to tell you to revere a certain someone, you do what the party director tells you to do, no questions asked.
