Working good?

Badhobz 10-29-2019 03:32 PM

You wanna be rich trolly ? Easy. Go to maritime academy or just join the Canadian navy and have your education sponsored by tax payers. There’s a huge lack of marine operators. Tug boats, tankers, etc everyone needs crews and nobody has the proper training. A marine pilot makes over 500k down in the states. In Canada I think they are 200k+

Get in the maritime business and you’ll be okay. I jumped from railroading to the ports because the ports pay so much more.

Good luck

P.s we are hiring heavy duty mechanics who have their red seals straight off the street for 150k. So if you have that you’ll have a 150k a year job waiting for you

I love the look, smell, and feel of classic cars like most avid car guys on RS, but man are they a pain in the ass. After getting a huge service done including timing belt, water pump, etc, re tune, brakes, etc, I still have a huge list of things of address, steering slop, suspension bushing, interior trim bit, etc. It seems like when you have a classic car, there will always be maintenance items to deal with.....

trollface 10-31-2019 10:36 AM

TIL: 1986 is now a "Classic".

I just entered my 1991 in an event under "Historic" class because it's more than 25 years old. Hell it's nearly 30 years old. 80's cars are now as old as 60's cars were at the end of the 90's.

I'm sure I'm not the only one here that sees an ad for a car from the last 90's/early 00's and thinks it's fairly new for a couple seconds :lol

Until you actually make a list of everything it's easy to forget just how many parts are in a car. You think you've got it all, and then something breaks and reminds you that you hadn't done that bit yet.

Picked up the new one from the corporate rental place.
Mixed feelings about the standard Charger RT... imo the Scat Pack is the one to get.

Perhaps I could be convinced ;)

For real tho, the additional 100hp, bigger brakes, and adaptive suspension would solve a lot of my complaints.

I'm getting 13mpg city for a 5.1s 0-60/13.5s 1/4 right now + harsh ride with the 20s compared to the v6 model I drove + shaky brakes on the highway after a few repeated stops

trollface 11-07-2019 11:04 AM

Oh I didn't know you were talking about cars.
